So the soon to be and I went out looking for a wedding band for me, the man of the house.

We stopped by a few of the brick and mortar rip off places just to see some stuff. I quickly decided that I just want a simple 5mm platinum comfort fit ring. So after searching around I noticed that some places charge more for larger ring sizes which makes sense to me because there is more metal. Others like Blue Nile have a fixed fee.

Can someone explain this discrepancy?

And also, while I expected the B&M stores to be priceier than BN and Whiteflash, I was look at eWeddingRings and thier prices are about 1/3 of BN and WhiteFlash.

Both of these rings look identical. Why the almost 3X price difference???

http://www.e-weddingbands.com/store/product43259.html $314

http://www.bluenile.com/wedding-ring-platinum_349 $980

Thanks

That is a Pd band from e-wedding, not a Pt band.

Personally, for a standard platinum band I''d just go with the cheapest price for a comparable ring.

Price depends on the alloy and manufacturing process used too.

We ordered our platinum bands from weddingringhotline.com both are 950 PT. I''m not sure why they are so much cheaper but we are very happy with them.

If you are a regular customer of WF they will price match if you request it. I think e-weddingbands.com is great and used them myself. They liekly have a volume discount with the manufacturer.
