That ring is perfection in my book. The stone, the size, the setting, the yellow gold, everything. Congratulations to you both. You did well.

Aww... thank you! I thought so and I''m glad you agree. If it ain''t broke don''t fix it. Settings like these just work and we weren''t going to be different just because. Usually she shys away from what her family does to be different but both her sister and mother have the same type of settings.

And thank you everyone else. I''m sure that she would love to hear how everyone loves how the ring looks on her hand.

One question. The jeweler gave me this cleaning solution to use on the ring. She used it along with the plastic bristled brush and she says that she thinks it scratched the gold ring. Is this possible? What would we do to fix it? Would the jeweler polish it up? And is there a better way to clean the ring?

Actually that was a lot more than one question but I appreciate the help. Thanks!

It''s beautiful! You can never go wrong with a classic! Nice touch with the yellow gold too.

Thank you Laila! I am starting to notice that most choose white gold here on PS. For a solitaire with no diamonds on the band, I preferred the contrast of the yellow to the diamond.

Does anyone have any opinions on my previous post on why when my fiancée tried to clean the ring, it looks like it scratched the gold?

Thanks,
Dave
