Sleeping Beauty Turquoise Stones

Hi,

I just stumbled on this forum and wonder whether anyone can help me. I am trying to get some cut Sleeping Beauty (SL) turquoise stone without matrix or dots. I have seen very large normal turquoise stones but I am not sure of a typical size SL turquoise.

I was asking around for a pair of 25mm x 10mm briolette to be added to a pair of diamond ear rings but I think some of the online stores thought I was being funny. I am hoping if someone could advise me on what is a good size AAA grade SL turquoise of solid robin egg colour. That would help me know whether asking for a 25mm x 10mm briolette is realistic.

I would also be very happy if someone could point me to a merchant who is willing to sell such cut stones and not as finished jewellery.

Hi BeeL - I'd check with Steve Green of Rough and Ready Gems. I have gotten beautiful briolettes from Steve in the past, and he does carry Sleeping Beauty turquoise.
