slightly reluctant to post but fishing for a compliment

Lovely! Honestly, it is my more modest things that get the most wear too. They are easy to put on and go with everything. Makes me think I should concentrate more on pieces I can wear a lot! Thanks for the reminder! I get a lot of compliments on a necklace/earrings set I bought at a department store ages ago with teeny tiny red stones, not even sure what. I wear them a lot. It is nice not to worry about expensive jewelry getting stolen from around my neck, or me doing something stupid to damage it.

thank you Stracci
call in for a pie and a donut lunch (or a salad laiden sandwich) and i will deffinatly admire your beautiful creations

-its so hot here this week yet kiwi's still want a hot meat pie or a sussage roll for lunch

I did not know you were a kiwi! Kia Ora! Just went there for a month in December--landed in Auckland and leisurely drove to Queenstown. So much beauty! We had a wonderful time!! Loved Whitaker's chocolate too and brought home a bunch for friends. Only problem we encountered is I got lazy in Wellington and left some souvenirs/clothes I would not need in the car, covered with my black raincoat. Next morning the car window had been broken and it was all stolen. My Hobbiton souvenirs! sniff. Hobbiton was just enchanting. We did a meal there too. Anyway I got lulled into a false sense of security because I felt extremely safe in NZ. Much safer than at home in the States. I did not let it ruin the rest of the trip. Queenstown, good grief, I have never seen anything quite like it! So stunning!

I am so sorry you got burgled
That's awful
I'm from Dunedin. You were so close in Queenstown - only an afternoon's drive away
I used to live in Wellington. We went to the Peter Jackson place. I'm sorry I was so bored .I thought this must be what it'd like when I subject people to Bruce Springsteen if they are not fans

But I am glad that mostly you had good time
We live in Wanganui which if you drove from Auckland down the middle if the north island is to the west of Bulls

We did not get to that side this trip. But I just know we will be back. We went to the east to make a stop at Napier.
You are making me laugh about "the Peter Jackson Place". I am a fan of the movies, but I also just loved how the hobbit holes looked in the rolling hills. And the one we went in was decorated with more attention to detail than my house!
You are very lucky to live in a place surrounded by such natural beauty!

Napier was a good choice
we had a family christmas holiday there when i was 12
we have been back quite a few times over the years including when i was in the army
it gets really hot
it used to be my favourite North island place but we coulnbt get accomidation there for my 30 birthday (many years ago now) so Gary took me to Wanganui and ive loved it ever since
a funny hobbit story
i think the 2nd film had its world premier in Wellngton, i was pretty much oblivourse, i worked on the otherside of Courtney place (where the big movie theatre was)
i went to lunch as normal and then couldnt get back as the roads were all closed, the red carpet was rolled out and i had to walk up the Mt Victoria side and take a long detor

That is funny! You should have walked up that red carpet!! The way they tell it most of NZ were extras anyway!
