I just finished sending my custom setting ideas to VC! I really love the Emilya round halo and I'm hoping he can do it with the filigree profile. In the filigree, I want to see if he'll set tiny pink diamonds instead of white. My other idea was to do the filigree in rose gold with white diamonds, but I feel like I want something a little more subtle in my engagement ring. Since I adore rose gold (and pink!) so much, I'll likely do a rose gold spacer and then VC's eternity band. I'm so excited about all of this! I can't wait to get the ball rolling I'm still diamond hunting though. It's harder than I expected looking online and not in person (especially when you're new to this). I'm patrolling the forums and reading like crazy and will post any potential stones for input!

I also love that setting. VC does some really beautiful work. You should post a picture ofbthr profile you are wanting, I'm kind of a sucker for filigree myself. White metal with pink diamonds sounds beautiful and I think it will a perfect personaal touch without being too much.
What are you thinking for a stone? If you post some peramiters (shape, budget ect ) we can help you find the perfect stone.

As far as budget, my husband (this is an upgrade for me) let me know I can go up to $18k now, so the stone really depends on the cost of the setting. I have my heart set on the setting and stone size doesn't really matter. I'm looking to be between 1-1.5cts and at least a G color, but the other specs will depend on how much we have for the stone.

I do think though that the design would flow better if the struts that connect the halo to the doing would look better if they were slighlty curved inward.
