So I love the color of this stone but what the heck is going on? Is it all abrasions and/or inclusions?

I know its no where near perfect but please teach a newbie what it is I'm looking at...... Thanks!

Something about your link is not working. I think you have one too many [/url] at either end.

I'm no expert, but it looks like the stone never got polished after it was cut.

ugh! No idea what's going on there... but it can't be good!

It appears to be an extremely included stone. Much of that looks to be rutile needles, but there is a lot of "stuff" in that sapphire.

Its easier to see in the video, but those are inclusions. If you don't mind a very included stone, its a good price for the size (its huge!). I would worry, though, about its structural integrity - not from the rutile needles, but from some of the internal cracks and such. It would be interesting to get a shot of this stone on the hand as many of these inclusions may not be that noticeable.

It is pretty included - I don't mind some really small inclusions but not when it covers so much of the face up appearance that it detracts from its overall beauty.

Thanks all!
Minous - I've asked for a handshot of the stone but I'm not sure I'll get it.

Thanks for all the input, as always I'm very appreciative!

How's the video of this sapphire?

Hmmm...I would think some of the inclusions will be very noticeable at first glance.

I'll be honest here... This is on my watch list.

The inclusions do not bother me at all. The only thing holding me back from putting in my bid is the color. It's a bit grey (based on my experiences with his listings)
