22, 23, 29, 30th anyone???

Thanks for the recommendation lop... is it a blingy store that a bunch of PSers would enjoy hanging out in???
31.gif

I could do the 22 or 23. I will be in town most likely from the 18-25 to visit my FI who is out there working for the summer. But he''ll have to work a bit, so I''m sure he won''t mind me going off for an afternoon!

THANK YOU Irina. Could you maybe do a split prong rendering... with an asscher in there?

NF-- no plans yet for that weekend, Lets see if snlee and Firegoddess can make it.

I love it too! Can't wait to see it! You sweet person
9.gif

I''m so happy for you, Gypsy
36.gif
. I hope when you see the setting, your heart skips a quick beat. You''ve been waiting sooooo long and have been a wonderful help to so many of us. Now it''s your turn!!!!!
35.gif

Oh, and btw, I won''t be completely happy until I see your choice worn proudly on your finger
9.gif

Darn, I can''t make it on the 22nd. The 23rd is a Monday, don''t you guys have work?

The semi-side view Asscher picture I posted might work for photoshopping ... if flipped around (but I''m a bad spacial judge).

Gyp -- after seeing your new choice -- I started to wonder if you also might like a three stone asscher setting, like Widget''s. The way the french cut baguettes are positioned reminds me of a kind of three stone look, or five stone look. Anyway -- I think I prefer your SS for your stone but it made me think of three-stones in a new way also.

Actually seeing Widget''s in person is what got me started on this three stone thing. This one does remind me of hers. But my asscher is no where near hers in size and I really don''t like widdle tiny asscher sides in a three stones. I like MY asscher would make a great side stone though.
27.gif
. I like the fact that the french cuts are like step cuts with pizzazz. And I really do love the small millgrain detail. The french cuts won''t give me that into the deep feeling so I won''t feel like I have three square eyes starting at me.If that makes any sense.

But I''ve been loving the classic look of DF, Kaleigh, UCLA... etc three stones a lot. As well as many on Leon''s site that are five stones and three stones. I think this is more of a ''lasting'' look for me as opposed to the halos. And much lower mantainance which was a big concern on mine.

And I love that I can use FMIL band with it. It has a lot of sentimental value to us both. I really feel at peace with this decision. I think it will work proportionately with my stone, give me bling, fit with the deco feel of the asscher and give me FINGER COVERAGE!
11.gif
While being a design that won''t date too much.

Thank you Irina!

The setting is gorgeous! I''m really liking the french cut side stones. And I like the migraining but it would be beautiful without it as well. I also LOVE the pointy flat prongs deco posted!

And I love the wedding band you posted! That''s not the band you actually own, right? Is there a thread about the band you posted? I love baguette eternity bands and that one is so perfect! I think that''s what I want for my wedding band. I would also love to see the band you do own if you have a picture of it-it sounds beautiful!

21st is probably fine, but I couldn''t be gone the whole day.

Hi Gypsy - I love that new setting! I haven''t read your whole thread yet, but I hope you go for this one. I just got a new asscher and I''m loving it.

About a GTG, I''d love to meet everyone. Mara and myself have mentioned getting together and it would be fun to meet more ps''ers too. I''m in San Jose so a Santana Row GTG would be great too. I''ll keep checking in and see what everyone decides.

21st is good for me... and no way can I do whole day. A few hours including lunch. I'll post for it so maybe we can get a crowd last time we had quite a few and it was fabulous!

Asscher girl, a Santana row GTG would be FAB too. But this jeweler is in SF, so I'd be happy to attend both, if they aren't on the same date, obviously.

Thing two of two... I used to have pics posted of the one I own but I can't find them. Our camera is broken... and FI wants a fancy replacement... that I'm going to push on the back burner in order to get my upgrade.
11.gif
. I'll look through my old files at home to see if I can find a pic though. Mine is very similar to that... each baguette is bezel set though so there is a little metal between each. Very thin band 2mm I think.

Hey Gypsy....I''m so HAPPY that you''ve found THE ONE!!!!!
3.gif

Hee hee...I was thinking about you today. I had to go to the City today for a couple of errands, and on the way out of town I circled the block three times looking for a parking place so I could run into Dianne''s Old and New and look at your mounting! No luck, however...so I finally gave up..
7.gif

Are you guys going to start a thread on getting together in SF? Or shall I watch here to see how things develop? Also...didn''t you say you might be going into town this Sunday? I could meet with you then, too.

Regarding the split prongs...I remember mentioning them to LM when I first contacted him about my asscher, and he said he needed to see the stone first before he could recommend them. I got the feeling that he doesn''t like them on smaller (or smaller cornered) stones. Just thought I''d mention that...Irina''s pic does look great, however..

YAY!!!! Widget approves!

They don't have the actual setting in stock. They just carry the line. They would have to get the setting in for me to see.

I talked to John and we can do it before my birthday in September. I will probably order it late August. And he's really happy it's a platinum setting. I makes my heart go pitter patter!

THANK YOU IRINA!!!
Okay. So now... Prongs. Votes?

Just as well I didn''t find a parking place, then.

I wonder if this company makes the delicate little eternity bands that KD was considering for a while??

Re: prongs. If they look like Irina''s picture I''d go for it. But I''d want to be sure they were really tiny. You''d hate to overpower or ''clutter up'' that beautiful asscher!

Definitely caviar!

You''re three stones and classic style definitely influenced my choice. I wanted something as classic as your (two) three stones. Something that''s more timeless than pave (which I love and will be getting some of)for my e-ring.

Sorry for the omission!

I''m a little torn on the prongs. Should I poll (assuming I figure out how)

do a poll. (i don''t know how either, never done one). I love Irina''s version but still think I like the prongs like turtle''s ring with that setting..

Harriet, can you help Gypsy w/her poll???? You did one for Travel or Jewelry. Please help

I completely understand-diamonds come before cameras in my book, too! Your band sounds beautiful and perfect-I''d love to see it if you can scrounge up a pic.

As far as the prongs go, I think I still like the flat pointy ones deco posted the best. (I''d be worried the double claws would look too busy in real life.)

I tried to post a poll in RT but failed. Oh well... I''m inept at polling. LOL.

Use the msg admin button in the morning, I''m sure Irina will help you set up the poll. I''ve never done one, so am no help either.

I messaged her. THANKS EVERYONE... it''s on RT, hopefully Irinia will fix it so it works right.
