Moissanite is doubly refractive so under a microscope very easy to identify.
You can spot a moissanite with your bare eyes. Just hold the stone really close to your one eye and look for the “rainbows”. A moissanite will have two set of rainbows where the diamond will only have one. If the other stone is a “confirmed” diamond, just compare the reflections of the two stones.
