Cough. Ok PS-ers. I''m guessing that this diamond is GORGEOUS in real life. So I am HOPING that rock is either a) not-photogenic or b) the photographer who took that photo did not read the PS thread on diamond photography.

We''ve all seen heavenly photos of PS diamonds, so we know it can be done right. That photo actually makes the diamond look kinda...yuck. Or is it just me?

Truthfully some super large diamonds just aren''t all that. I remember seeing the Hope in the Smithsonian and thinking "hmmm, it''s alright I guess". I suppose my expectations were that it would light up like a spotlight or something, but it was just "nice".

I like older stones and the history behind them so I''d keep it, but it just doesn''t do anything for me. I wasn''t terribly impressed with the hope either. Am I just hard to please?

YES! lol, but I actually agree with you on the photography..
I wouldn''t say no, but give me an ideal cut 4 or 5 ct instead any day
