Thanks Katebar! I agree, she''s awesome to work with. She is so busy though! (not surprising since her work is really popular

Looks beautiful, is it a blue opal?

Thanks Pyramid! I have no idea - I really don''t know anything about opals and my mom and I definitely weren''t experienced in gems when she bought this (just bought what was pretty!)

Hi, this is typically refered to as a `white` opal. It looks like a very pretty stone with hints of pink and even pale blue/ green.

The reset is very modern which gives this stone a totally different look than the traditional fancy setting. No doubt you can wear it much more often now and enjoy it on a daily basis....rather than just for best!!!!

I think oth settings have their own appeal, I like them both, but your new setting looks very smart. What will you do with the old one? Gee, does that mean you have to find another stone for it?

Thanks Klewis! Actually, my mom wants the old setting back - we''re basically selling a lot of our yellow gold because neither of us wear it, and hopefully using some of that to eventually get my mom some 24 kt bands (those are the only yellow gold exceptions

) So I''ll be sending it back to her

Beautiful!!!!!

Thank you Lauren!!!

So pretty! And I like it when you take a picture of the empty ''old'' ring.

The new setting is great! I love how it looks on your finger.

Hey BEG, I know I''m late, but I''ve been gone for about 6wks and am just now catching up on PS. I''m delighted to see you''ve been busy in my absence, and I love the new opal setting. It has such clean, elegant lines - very modern and classy. The opal looks like it sits just high enough to slip a very slim, low-profile band underneath.

Well done, my friend! Now, on to view your other finished projects...

Thank you Cellentani! I''m so glad you''re back on PS! Hehe I had the same thought - it had just the perfect amount of room for a band
