I can never get enough of Mia''s routine. I love it when she is choreographing, but then it means I have to listen to Mary...ugh.

I don''t normally like to get too catty...but...Mary is looking mighty "Hollywood" with the botox, fake tan and crease filler...yuck!!

The matador routine had me really missing my tribal fusion belly dancer costumes...

I must be the only one here who''s enjoying this season more than last. The technique this season is to me a lot better than last although last year''s dancers had more personality. Joshua''s such a teddy bear. Twitch and Will are insane. Gev is so cute; he''s so totally in love with Courtney. Mark is so quirky and he and Chelsie are awesome too. The only low point for me is that I''ve yet to see choreography by Shane and Wade. =(

Shane and Wade won''t be doing choreography. I know the top 20 and the top 18 group dances were done by Wade and Shane respectively, but other than that, I don''t think we should expect to see them. I know in the case of Shane, Tabitha and Napoleon basically replaced him.
 
I do miss Shane and Wade. I am not a fan of the hip hop routines that those two girls come up with. I don''t even remember their names, that is how unimpressed I am with them.

I am thinking that Katee and Joshua are my favorites so far,but i really enjoyed the Mia Michaels dance Twitch and his parner did tonight.

What a great episode last night. Really enjoyed seeing two dances each. Ones I watched again:

Mia''s bed routine (Kherrington & Twitch) ... so "American Beauty"!
Mandy Moore''s shirt routine (Will & Jessica)
The fast hip hop (Courtney G. & Gev) ... just because I''m SO craving hip hop ... not as much this seaso

I *wanted* to like Katee & Joshua tonight ... especially in the Benji number but honestly I thought they had an off day. Still love Chelsie & Mark but neither of their #s really did the trick for me tonight either. Lots of new choreographers this season. Wonder if Shane is off due to his being a judge on the Dance Crew show??? Whatever happened to that old hip hop guy ... Brian whathisname. Oh well.
 
i agree deco. that swing routine was ehh for me.
and what''s up with them LOVING that hip hop chick? i don''t think she''s good at all!

Fancy, we must be twins because I totally agree. I think Season 2 was the best season of all. Benji and Travis were so amazingly good...remember that nerdy dance they did? I think I saved that on my Tivo for 6 months or something. I loved it. And Alison and Ivan were great, loved them! Still, my favorite piece I''ve seen is the Hawk/Jamie hummingbird piece.

I can''t wait for it to get down to to the top 10, that''s when I really start loving it. I still don''t think this season has hit its stride. I''m really looking forward to the rest of the season!!

ETA: I thought Chelsea T''s solo was really, really good last night. I haven''t seen her dance so well in a long time.

oh! that bench routine. it took my breath away. i really really loved it.
 
After seeing tonights episode i had to comment on how perfect Kat Daily looked tonight!Wow!Usually I think her dresser needs to be fired each week but tonight...The 1960s Audrey Hepbern glam mixed with the 1970s studio 54 art attitude really worked!The fringed gold collar was great paired with the red dress and gold sandals.
 
Totally agree jewelerman!! BF said the same thing tonight (I was in the other room) he was all shocked because she''s looked so awful lately!! They need to reconsider their wardrobe staff methinks...Katee''s shoes in the pink and black outfit were PLAIN OL'' BAD.

I wasn''t surprised tonight. I loved Twitch/Kherington and Joshua/Katee''s reactions!! I have a prediction for next week, but I''m not sure if anyone on the west coast is still watching it...
 
Oh man. Shane and Wade will be sorely missed. I enjoy Tabitha and Napoleon's choreography but the other one, East Coast hip hop ain't that great. I think it didn't do justice to Gev and Courtney. Sometimes I can't help feeling sorry for the dancers who just get bad choreography.

Gev's solo was awesome! That last flip towards the judges blew me away. I can't help but feel sorry for jessica. It's hard to feel confident when you're criticized every week for having a partner that is just too good. Then again, she should feel lucky as she will make it in the top 10. If she was paired with anyone else, she might have been gone already.

I wasn't digging the west coast swing either. I thought they didn't pull it off and it only looked like something Benji and Lacey could. Joshua and Katie are still one of my favs.

Lastly I have to give some credit to comfort. She has really grown throughout this competition. She has never danced on heals before this and I thought she pulled of the waltz. That said, I think she and Thayne will be off next week. Thayne is pretty creative with his solos but he's just forgettable.

Shane is a judge on another show now (America''s Best Dance Crew). I don''t know whether that''s why he''s been absent on SYTYCD or not. I do miss his routines though.
 
So does anyone else think that there might be some hook-ups going on???

If I hear one more complaint of lack of chemistry between a flaming gay dude and a woman, I''m going to scream. Did we hear complaints of lack of chemistry between Travis and Benji during their routine together? No.

And finally a routine from Tyse Diorio (sp?) that I like. Sometimes I feel like his routines are so blah. Glad to see Jessica finally hit her stride as well.

But seriously, judges, knock it off with slamming the lack of chemistry between the gay dudes and their female partners. The are trying, at least, and succeeding a lot better than I would have imagined. I''ve faked chemistry before with gay guys in salsa clubs, and while it''s super campy and fun, the judges are asking for genuine chemistry and that''s unfair, IMO.

i'm not going to lie, i've never gotten comfort, even in her solos... but i really liked her in her hip hop number tonight.

and i thought she was really pretty tonight. whether it was her makeup or hair or what, she just looked gorgeous.

I dunno. I agree with Mia. The first routine was GREAT, and I''ve LOVED Will since day one (especially tonight), but Jess has always been just ho-hum to me. I would like to see Will with someone like Katee.

I think Courtney and Gev are my favorites of the night so far (for the first time! Usually my #1''s are Twitch and Kehrington or Chelsi and Mark)

yeh, i love gev & court! i''m shocked at how good he is every time. not that i don''t think he''s capable, just surprised coming from where he''s coming from dance wise.
 
I hate our local fox affiliate. They broke in and interrupted part of the show, and I missed it.

BTW there are two people on the run from the cops because they robbed a restaurant. In case you guys were interested.

he was gritty awesome.

i felt like they gave kerrington a pass. i like her and all, but boo to them for that.
 
...And Katee and Joshua just won 2nd favorite for me.

I honestly will be sad to see anyone go--well except Comfort, Thayne, or Jess. I really like everyone else at this point. That''s unusual. Usually by this point I have a clear cut favorite or 2 instead of 8.
 
I get what you''re saying Fancy. She''s (shoulder shrug) I just so love all of the other couples together (with the exception of Comfort and Thayne...) that I wouldn''t want to split any of them up!!!

Except that Katee and Joshua are my #1, and have been since pretty much the beginning.

I think Comfort and Thayne are going home. They have received nothing but bad feedback all night.

Will is keeping Jessica afloat.

Having said that, the second hour has just started here, so I'm not totally educated on the rest of the dances.

ETA: I'm really looking forward to Bollywood.

And not looking forward to Jessica and Will's quick step.
