Solasfera 1.6 K I1 upgrade finally set!

Wow. Very beautiful.

Gorgeous upgrade!!

Enjoy!

Cachette :))

Gorgeous ring!
Does anyone know what the name for the setting is? I have pretty much the same setting (from a Hatton Garden jeweler) and I've always wondered what an accurate description of it would be.

Well dimend scassi calls it the Alessandra,
But when I was in search of it I would just show the picture to Jewelers and refer to it a a tapered cathedral with open basket?? I was very specific that the diamond should be viewed from the side with no bar on the profile.
Hope that helps! :wavey:

It looks great on you :)

It's gorgeous and you are one lucky girl to have found the affordability of a K I1 with the stunning looks of that stone :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl:     !!!!!

Beautiful! I think the K looks very white!

Gorgeous diamond-what a find! Congratulations and wear it in good health!

Congrats! Such an amazing find! I'm curently trying to decided on a ct weight, and I really like the size on your finger and we are about the same ring size....I'm a 7.5...huge compared to most Psers, ;)) Thanks for posting pics, funny how ct weight looks bigger when you are viewing it on someone elses finger. Your ring is amazing, enjoy it!!

Thanks everyone! I do feel very lucky to have come across this stone. I would have never been able to afford this size at this time if it wasn't for the lower color and clarity. Similar stones one clarity or color grade higher are about 5k more! I feel I got an amazing deal.
I was kind of nervous about it being a K and I1, but I looked at all the K threads on here and honestly it's probably whiter and less included than my EGL graded J SI2. That one was not eyeclean but it did not really bug me since I was the only one that could see the inclusion since I knew where to look.
I hope my thread helps encourage people that they can find great stones at a great price even in this color and/or clarity range.

Lol that's so true!! It doesn't look big at all to me! I was joking with my husband that since this size looks so close to a 2ct, that my next upgrade will have to be at least 3 ct to really see a difference! lol He just said haha cute.
I had that issue too, that smaller ct looks really nice on other people but on me I just felt like it made my hands look so huge and manly! I'm sure that wasn't the case but it's just how I felt, not feminine enough. Didn't help that I often went diamond browsing with my petite size 5 friend, so half carat would look amazing on her and teeny on me. I think I just focus more on the overall look vs just the ring.
Good luck with your search! Maybe go to a local b&m and try some sizes to see what you like?

Wow it looks amazing. I don't see the tint against the white paper AT ALL.

And forget those friends who said they don't like solitaires  Solitaires are absolutely delishhh!!!

It's funny what people think. One of the first things I instantly thought when I saw your ring is: I like the prongs!

Then I read that you don't.

Well, prongs are supposed to be prominent IMHO, those are beautiful, and I wouldn't touch it!

In any case, beautiful ring, beautiful diamond, great deal. Congrats! :appl:

Thanks Danny!
I think my issue was that I had focused on finding the perfect setting for so long, that when I finally got it set I was still focusing too much on the setting and not on the ring as a whole or even on the diamond itself. In the end, I am very happy with it. :P
