I really like the Scott Kay. The double prongs do it for me But if you want 6 prongs, then I''d go with the Diana for sure. It''s gorgeous.

Yeah - I really need to see them in person! Sucks that I won''t be able to for a few weeks. Oh well. I''m still married, LOL. Even if I''m stuck with a crappy little silver band on.

I take that back, it''s not crappy. It''s from my honeymoon, but still, LOL.

I think I have it narrowed down to the Scott Kay or the Diana, because I''m having a hard time finding anyone around here that carries the Mark Schneider. Also looks like it would sit oddly over a band.

Not in stock... but they can order it! This is the jeweler that the guy in Tiffany's directed me to. I'm going out there next week to check out some settings - she said they have a ton in stock too that I can check out, just not Diana ones, LOL. I found another one on the Diana site...

ETA: I'm totally going with Palladium - I was quoted a price 300 dollars cheaper than for WG!!!

Update: And it''s GREAT!

I went to a jeweler recommended byt Tiffany. Getting in there was like getting into Fort Knox. I had to give them my drivers license, get a badge and everything. I got up there, and the normal sales gal was busy, so they brought out someone else. I was taken to an office, and the settings were brought to me.

I proceeded to put my PS education to good use and totally impressed the guy. I told him I wanted Palladium. He didn''t know a lot about it - so I told him (yay research). We were looking through settings, and what really got him was when I picked up one and went, oh my goodness - is that the Stuller Solstice head? The man just stared at me, shook his head, looked at it and went, why yes, yes it is. LOL. He asked me if I was an engineer and jokingly asked if I wanted a weekend job.

I talked to him about why I liked 6 prongs or doubles, what I liked and disliked about the different metals etc. Totally knocked his socks off. He seriously just stared at me for a while, LOL.

Long story short, they are ordering me the samples for the two settings below. DH likes the double prongs. I''m leaning towards the 6 prong.

And if I don''t like them - they have the BEST Tiffany replica solitaire I have ever in my life seen. So I can fall back on that no problem. Do I want Palladium? Yeah. Will it kill me if I don''t get it? No.

And apparently Diana custom makes each setting - so there is the possibility that if the band is too wide I can ask them to narrow it slightly... we shall have to wait and see!

The main thing is- that I felt like a person. I was taken seriously. It was great.

And I found out later when I looked at the card of the guy helping me that I had been talking to the president of the company. . .

SIX PRONG ALL THE WAY!!! Love that setting! The other one is pretty too of course, and seeing them in person could be totally different. Yay pricescope for educating us so well!

I also got my little CZ eternity band to see if I like the look of a Jazz replica before I drop a grand on it. I can''t decide how I feel about it, LOL. I''ll have to wait and see it with the solitaire when I finally choose it!
