It's been ages since I took pics, so here are a few stones I haven't shown you yet.

My 1st purchase a few yrs ago -- I put up pics of this before, but it was hanging with the rest & I didn't want to hurt its feelings. I'm thinking of selling this -- it's so pretty but I probably wont get around to setting it.

Tourmaline 2.32 ct, 6.02 x 7.51 from Wildfish

I'm such an awful photographer -- pics of this amethyst by itself came out too dark. Here it is with terrible photo of zircons that are really sparkly & saturated & nice. Zircons from Gemfix 6.8 mm, 3.43 tcw. Amethyst -- still darker than IRL but this shows a little of the red flashes -- from TGT, Zambian, 2.54 cts, I think a little over 8 mm iirc.

Teeny tiny indicolites -- the black is camera & tree reflection. 2.5 x 4.9 from TGT. Don't know what I'll ever do with them, but I like 'em! ETA: PS dulled colors down a LOT!

Another of the asscher tourmaline from Westview. 6.4 x 5.6, 1.47 cts.

More to follow.....

Malachite pair from, I think, TGT, or Barry, 8.81 x 10.61. I love malachite, plan to bezel these in RG.

Montana sapphires, 9 of them, from Gemline. 2 mm. So tiny I photographed them through the plastic bag -- afraid to remove them & lose them. You can tell by the background that I manipulated light & color-weight to get the color of the stones correct. These will eventually be a part-eternity w/a few diamonds (but I blew my account on Gene's tourm for now  ).

This is a piece of meteorite from Brad Payne. I like astronomy & it fascinated me. I have info on the minerals in it but need to clean my papers up to find it!

Not new -- will put these on the pearl forum & ask for info. Bought them 12 yrs ago at a consignment shop & would like to know what kind of pearls they are (they have a purplish sheen, shown in another photo no room for here) -- I know zip about pearls. Total size 10.8, pearls are 9.3. The diamonds look quite clean when I loupe them. Dirty, though!

I also have a round Malawi tourm from TGT & a neat cabochon that is lapidolite & malachite mixed (pendant material), bought a pair of chrysos from Minou & an oval blue-green tourmaline from NKOTB -- will get pics of them next. Ran out of time, light, & patience today.

But for fun, here are some earrings I bought at Tiff's when I worked there. I love both of them.

These are 14k with pave balls.

Ear photo:

No stones, just 14k.

Last one -- the tray on which I took everything out to the patio. I'm saving up for a setting for the big one in the middle.
VL -- I drew an arrow to the green grossular garnet -- photos didn't come out; it's really hard to get right. Its color shows well here, if a teeny pic. The amethyst color is fairly true too.

I wish I had friends like yours ;-)

AH JF you have such nice stones to play with!. I look forward to more of the green garnet and the westie.

I bought one of those kooky pod-like tripods like Gene showed, now Im waiting for the piece that attaches the phone to the tripod. I havent been able to find the battery charger for my camera since I bought an expensive new battery for it, so I only have the phone to use.

All the time I fought with my darned camera -- a simple Canon -- I envied so many people here who apologize for their "poor" phone pictures. They always look great to me -- and tons better than I do. My cellphone makes calls, period. First time I almost wished I had a fancier one; might've had some more super pics.

I'll try again in a few days to get the grossular -- it's tough, shows up pale pale, & it isn't, irl. Will take some work. Sorry about the lack of flowers, VL -- but, ahem, it's winter. We don't got, right now. I'll work on that too.

Wow - Great and colorful collection! Really pretty and very helpful to see these examples. Thanks for posting!

And those T&Co split hoop w/ pave ball earrings are awesome - those just zing me! Love love love them.
Thanks for sharing -- one of my 2014 resolutions was to try to learn more about CS.

Love the pearl earrings, and for that size and colour, I believe they are likely to Tahitians, as they do not look like they have been dyed.

DK :))

Beautiful collection; in my mind's eye, I see so many 3 stone rings, eternity band and etc. already.

Chrono -- I thought of a 3-stone w/the ammy & zircons but I'd have to give it to an elephant, unfortunately. The zircons are 6.8 & the amethyst about 8.3. Kind of frustrating -- I like bigger stones for earrings than these; will probably halo or bezel them if I keep them. Still pondering what to do with the amethyst, which is a pretty one.

3 stone pendant? 3 stone brooch? 3 stone something?

I missed this before. You have some gorgeous treasure there. I love those little indicolites from TGT - earrings maybe? And I know how tough it is take photos of strong colored stones like your ammie and zircon. Perhaps try on a neutral background? Weathered wood or something else grey. But we also can imagine how beautiful they are, because we know you have great taste and a discerning eye.

Wow!! Just wow! :naughty: JF aren't you near me??? OMG love all the goods!

I will play with them -- bound to be some neat combo in there somewhere! Maybe something (pendant?) w/the yellow-green grossular & the yellow Malawi tourm., both not pictured yet. Sounds like I need to add something orange? :naughty:

Thank you, Minou -- you know I do because I bought your stones! The indicolates are SO absolutely weeny, they make me laugh, but I really like them. I was thinking of something along these lines, from my inspiration folder, for earrings, using them. Tried 'em with the zircons (will take good photos of them soon) but the colors don't work well. Excuse to look for a pair that will do the job.

SB, are we close? I think so. You can play with mine if I can play with yours!
