Some pics of my new Leon engagement ring!

OK guys, excuse the bad quality of these pics! I am in my SERIOUSLY yellow office, no natural light, and my digi camera will not co-operate! Macro mode schmacro mode - it''s just not taking clear pics! Well, DF''s camera is better, so I''ll have to do a shoot at home later, haha!

Stone is a 2ct I SI1 from James Allen, and my finger is a size 5. I think my shank is a shade under 2mm. It has pave from 7 o''clock to 5 o''clock, so that it can be sized if need be. I think, all in all, it took about 7 weeks to get back from Leon.

I initially loved the Tiffany Novo when we started looking, and you can see that this ring is very much "inspired" by that design, but with a round.

I love it!! I have a very similar setting to that except with a smaller round and it has a great presence. I think it looks stunning on your hand and even in that bad lighting that I know all too well.

I like a dainty band, yours sort of reminds me of the T&Co Novo. If it had a cushion solitaire, it would look a lot more like it. However, I do think yours looks just like a Leon creation and that RB is quite large! Congratulations on your engagement!

OMG, I just love it! That is exactly how I want to reset my ering, but with a 6-prong head. Leon just did such a great job, and it looks gorgeous on your hand. What do you call that style of micropave? Congrats again - I just love it!

Thank you all for your kind words! It''s maybe a little silly, but I really wanted to see what you guys think of it - I mean, I love it, of course, but there are a few things with it that are slighly different than I expected, and that threw me a tiny bit.

I''m talking tiny things here - the width of the donut thingy is a hair thicker than I thought it would be, and I thought the edges would be totally smooth, but they have little Vs along the pave... but these are really insignificant things, and overall the ring is just gorge! You know what, I need to get out side now for lunch, and see it sparkle in the sunlight!

One little thing too - when DF and I both hobbled (haha - he has a broken foot, and I have a sprained one, both all bandaged up in special boots!) to Leon''s office today, we expected we''d see Leon, and for it to be quite a special moment. Or for him at least to smile and be polite! However, Leon wasn''t there, and, when we asked if we could say hello, we were told that Leon was "too busy" to come and say hello, and so his assistant/secretary (wife?) gave us the ring. It was all quite business-like, the little box it came in was not special, no "Leon Mege" on it.... well, I know I''m probably being a bit over-sensitive about this, but LM is not cheap, and I expected a bit more - maybe that he would care enough about one of his (workshop''s) creations to come and say hello?

Anyway, I need to stop thinking about that, and instead be so happy with my beautiful ring, and my more wonderful and lovely fiance!

Thanks Swingirl - no, he didn''t send me a picture. His site now says that he''s not going to be taking pics, but that he can get them taken for some $. I didn''t ask about pics. However, I don''t know if that applies to all projects - maybe he takes pictures of the "bigger", more complicated and expensive pieces? I dunno.

Yes, I do think if he knew you were coming to pick it up he should have minimally come and said hello. If he couldn''t, you should have at least gotten an apology, a follow-up call from him, and a smile from the woman who gave it to you.
