I think Diana got her ring from Asprey's of London. If I remember correctly, they presented her with a tray of rings, and she picked the most expensive one out. Too bad she didn't have Pricescope to teach her what a good sapphire looks like!! LOL!

Where does this story come from? Do you mean she picked the most expensive one out on purpose? If so, that's a vicious rumor.

Unfortunately I have one. I hate it. The sapphire is ok (but photographs very badly) but is not anything other than mediocre. It was one of the first sapphires I ever bought. Then Princess Diana came along and I hated the ring even more (not a fan of hers)!

I've got a more modern version that I prefer (first photo)
