I wonder if it was way more valuable than they expected? Can they do that? I loved this for you, I’d contact the dealer and find out what went wrong.

Thanks @LightBright ! There were a few discrepancies. It tested for 10k gold and platinum. eBay also said there was “metal damage” and the metal ball for the safety closure is missing… I do intend to repurchase when the seller receives it.

I found a different one today (not the 6k one I want terribly lol) but it seems a reasonable price w/returns but does not have the authentication guarantee…. I’m newer to eBay purchases… do all you lovely PSers think that the authentication guarantee is necessary?
Also, do these look like old cuts? I think they are but I’m also hopeful. The listing doesn’t say…
Hmm perhaps I should start a thread for my search as I feel like I have bombarded this one-apologies everyone!

I also think they are old cuts (higher crowns, smaller tables, and chunkier pattern). I like the look of it a lot!!
 
The diamond is small - though probably larger than the .05 the vendor is listing - but just look at that luscious setting!
They’re asking $250 and accepting offers; size 5.5.

It was exactly the specs I was looking for, and looked soooo pretty in lala's pictures and videos! I was stalking MaxPawn many times a day waiting for it to pop up. I didn't mention in my thread due to lurkers. I was hoping everyone would forget. I was starting to think I missed it and someone else bought it. In the meantime, I ended up buying another (breathtakingly beautiful) stone locally, and a day later this one popped up! By that time I was committed so I went for it. :lol-2: I gave an offer a bit lower than lala's (I couldn't remember so I just guessed) and they accepted and I completed the purchase today. I'm so excited for it to arrive! If it's as good as it looks, then it's a really good deal, and the two stones together will have cost about what I was thinking to spend on just one. Can't wait!! :appl:

Yes, I'm so curious to compare them. I'm keeping the Sako stone for sure. I have the return policy on this one, so there's no risk. At worst, a good learning experience. But I hope I end up loving it, it would be so fun to get it certed. And I already have a project idea for the side stones too. :P2

PS is so dangerous. I need to be banned from here for the sake of my savings account.
