It's a beautiful stone, but more on the reddish side. Really fine orange spessartite always reminds me of those orange traffic cones.

I also wanted to thank you for posting everything as you did, above. The purpose of this thread is more than showing pretty pictures; its to let everyone know when there are bargains or sought after stones available that we think others would be interested in. We want it to be done (as you have so kindly done) in a way that preserves the info, via photos and descriptions, for others to see. In other words, by cataloguing it as you have done, with price and photos, you have made it accessible for future PSers to enjoy and helped to provide a bit of a price index. So many add a link only, but when the stone is sold, the page is no longer available.

I know that's a lot to say, but again just wanted to thank you, and others like you, who provide all the info along with the eye candy!

Andrew Sarosi had some very nice specimens too, but he also passed away. His son owns Africagems.com, so he might have some of his father's specimens. ????
