OMG I am so flippin mad...at the post office!
For those who remember my Tacori saga, my rings were overnighted to me on Wednesday and arrived Thursday. They were going to be overnighted Tuesday for me to get Wed (which would have been nice since it was my day off and I would have actually been home to receive them...) but something was up with my jewelers insurance carrier and for whatever reason he had to ship them wednesday so i would get them thursday instead.
fine. So the notice in my mailbox from yesterday says my package will be available for pick up after 8 am on July 22 at my local post office. Which is about 30 minutes away from work on a good day. So I rush to get out of work today at 1pm and make the drive in lunch rush traffic with gas at $2.09 a gallon down to get them.
Get to the post office, and the postal worker comes back after looking for them for a few minutes and says "Oh they are attempting to deliver them again today, so its not here." Um, ok. So I said, "Well it says here that they will be available for pick up at this time and date." He says to me "See in the fine print here it says ''will try to redeliver the next day unless instructed not to". Oh, yeah cuz I looked at THAT!
I told him, "well someone needs to inform the letter carrier that if its going to be redelivered then DON''T mark the box that says its available for pick up if it wont be there!
SO I drive back to work, get no time to eat lunch as I have a room full of patients waiting for me.
I was SO mad. I cant get them tomorrow because I work 8-2 and the PO is open 8-1. Probably will have to wait now til Monday and do the same hustle down during lunch. And of course CHECK that they are there before I go.
OOOH!!!!! I just want my d**n rings already!
