Sooner or Later: What would you do?

I say go for the surprise!

But... beware of vacation beach proposals. My husband proposed at night on the beach. In my excitement to rip into the blue box & take the ring it flipped really close to water. You would not believe how fast two people can drop to the ground to save a ring from being whisked away by an outgoing tide (lol).

We still laugh about the mutual "heart-attack" proposal scene.

Uh oh, I did something bad and I am in trouble! Before today I only looked for it once right after I knew it was here because I thought I knew where it was, I told my boyfriend I looked (I can''t tell a lie, literally, it''s terrible) and said I wouldn''t look anymore because I would feel bad if I found it.

Well today he had a golf tournament and was gone all day, I tried not to look I really did, finally something overtook me and I looked, and I mean I looked, like everywhere, I was careful not to move to many things in closets so he wouldn''t be able to tell I looked. Well I didn''t find it but he just got home and first thing he did was ask me about it, usually he is home from work before I wake up and today he was like "I can''t believe I left you alone all day!" Well he checked on it and he said it was moved and he thinks I found it, I''m like "ok I looked I swear I didn''t find it!" I guess it''s moved it must be in a closet and something must have moved it when I touched something else, I feel very bad. I think he doesn''t believe me and thinks I found it, he said he would be very upset if I found it, and he seems to be really dissapointed that he can''t totally suprise me, and he said it is so hard to come up with something.

When it went to "check on it" he looked all over but he didn''t get mad until he looked in his closet so now I know where it is and he is leaving again to go to the dinner for the golf thing, it is going to take all of my willpower to stay out of that closet, I can''t believe I am even acting like this! I feel like a little kid, I used to unwrap and rewrap my presents under the tree when my parents were sleeping!!!

Ok, I think you need to take a few deep breaths. Chill out!!! I know how excited and anxious you must be about seeing and getting your ring, but you don''t want to ruin the surprise of the proposal or have your boyfriend get mad at you simply because you are getting antsy for something sparkly. Maybe you can get out of the house if you absolutely can''t stay away from the closet, call a girlfriend, go get some ice cream, do something. Don''t aggravate your boyfriend anymore by sneaking around to try and find the ring. This is just my opinion and I hope I am not coming across as rude or anything, but I think you need to realize that you will have it soon enough!! Take some time to get your mind off of it, it will be so much more special that way!

Wait, please wait, and make sure to tell him that you can''t wait for all the special plans he''s making. because he might propose soon with no "specialness" just so you will be happy now...except you won''t be, because you''ll have the ring...and no good story to back it up! Just my two cents! Neither of you want to regret this! But yay that it''s coming soon!
