Sadly our "Christmas Present For Dee" adventure has come to an end with an email from Solomon Brothers...

"4H3H355H is one of our shared stone which is not on hand and the vendor actually made an error with the price.
It should be $17,905 for the stone.
Sincer apologies for the confusion."

Honestly, I would have been 1,000,000% surprised if this stone did indeed come to me for this price, but if there was a chance, hey, I was going for it!

Oh well, easy come, easy go. I made it a point NOT to get attached to it (even though I have to confess I *might* have surfed some sites last night looking at pendant setting options... ) but I knew this would never come through. And if it did, my conscience would have forced me to call them and confirm--and REconfirm--that it really was only $2K before I set it, and then of course it would have all come out in the wash anyway.

That being said, if anyone comes across any other fabulous bargains, feel free to let me know. I have an American Express card and I'm not afraid to use it!

What's really funny is that I was just 5 minutes behind you with the exact same intent. If my connection were faster I'd have been the one with my fingers crossed.
