thanks @cushioncutnut ! I had my ring reset by David Klass about three years ago, and I'm sooooo glad I did! The new setting shows off the Assher shape, and I swear there's better light return too.

The train has nice lighting today from the sun! The spring gardening cuts and scrapes are ugly though!

This stone color shifts. It goes from blue to a silky purple. The purple wants to color correct on the phone camera, so super difficult to capture.

I was able to get a photo of the purple-pink-opalescent thing! It goes from blue to that. Much more vibrant in person with the shift.

I've been collecting less-than-half-carat deco engagement rings from the 1930s--I find them so touching, and I adore the variety of patterns. Here I'm trying out stacking them (with my wedding band and a vintage wedding band).

I am still going with the color change sapphire, but found the bottom band this weekend at a local shop in the estate section. I think it's pretty, adds some texture and I don't have anything like it.
