Star Sapphire Pics and more

This is the ring I got a while ago, I am learning the digital camera, these pictures are not the greatest

first set of pics is taken inside with sun on opposite side of building, but the sun is not out today overcast.
the star comes out even from this ambient overcast light and its very hard to capture a non star photo.

it goes from a soft milky blue with a thick star to a very sharp star and the stone glows from the star as it is very milky but clear
the point in the middle almost looks like it can start a fire its illuminated like the point of the sun's beam going into a magnifying glass

the second set is taken in my kitchen with a regular kitchen light on, this camera has a lot of options and different settings
so please bear with me and any advice would be appreciated on the stone or the photographs

the color of the stone seems to change a bit . not sure if you noticed

I like the color in the daylight shots. Pretty light blue. Did you even find out if it was untreated? Anyway, congrats on a good find.

The daylight shots were easiest, the shots with fake light really seems to wash the color out and i am in the process
of trying to take some better pictures. I just got this camera and I have never used anything like it before .

I would compare it to MTG's sapphire , mine is slightly more pale hers has more color , and the same level of translucency
It would fall into the realm of lavender . the softness of the stone is unparalleled you can see into it but at the same time its milky
so any light coming near the stone will be soaked up and the stone has a soft glow that is ever present

I cannot tell you more than what you already know. The watery light lavender daylight colour is very sweet.
