Sticker shock on setting, is there a clone out there?

Hi all, I'm new to posting but I've been stalking the site since I got engaged around Christmas. My honey (thank God) has allowed me to pick the diamond and setting. I think I have the diamond picked out, but now I need a setting to match. I found this one http://www.exceldiamonds.com/-Engagement-Rings-5/Tiffany-Inspired-Replica-Round-Brilliant-With-Bead-Set-Band-675-114744.html the other day which looks almost exactly like one I saw on a month or so back. That one was platinum though. I asked the vendor if that price was correct and he said it was. I thought $2k for 14kt and .20cts was way too much.

Has anyone since seen something like this around? It's a pretty classic design, but so far I've had no luck.

Brian Gavin has gorgeous settings in 18k WG. Many PSers have this setting and the quality of the melee is outstanding.

Hi Wolfmama, I did actually see that one. I do like it, BUT it reminds me a lot of my last e-ring (mostly from the front view). I did notice that BG's rings are mostly 18kt+ though.

I also know IDJ has this exact same setting too. I want to say it is closer to $700 or $750. Not sure if there are more or less diamonds though.
