Stone finally set

My daughter's Mahenge has been set. The stone is 1.11 carats and 6.1 mm if memory serves.The stone was for her 21st birthday. She chose a setting she liked and it was modified to her liking. The original was white gold with a split shank covered in diamonds. I am wearing her ring in the photo and I am going to have a hard time returning it!

Oh, what a great stone and setting!! It's unusual -- she has great ideas. I'll bet she gets a ton of compliments when she wears that. How lucky you are to have a daughter who appreciates gemstones!!!

Cool setting - I don't think I've seen anything in a 'whirlpool' fashion before - nice choice for that stone! Gives the illusion its a trillion not a round!

What a beautiful ring! Such a lovely stone, and I love the unique design of the setting - a halo with a twist! Would love to see more pics!

Two more pictures. The setting was custom made and the shank was not soldered in the right place. It needs to be rotated 90 degrees. I agree that the stone is looking like a trillion but I think that it is because the the setting is being viewed at the wrong angle. Look at the top picture imagine the shank rotated.

Thanks but we are hoping that the error will be rectified. Otherwise, the ring is still lovely as is. The diamonds were upgraded and although they are small, they are very blingy. The stone is actually nicer in person because it really glows and has a bit of red. My Mehange is similar to this one but alas no red - just hot pink.
