Styling my engagement ring

I am looking for a wedding band to style with my engagment ring. I am not a huge fan of the side diamonds on my engagement ring so won’t be going for the same design for a band.
I would like rose gold with diamonds but something different although not to take the attention away from my engagement ring.

Many women expect their e-rings to withstand 24/7 wearing for an entire lifetime.
That's one reason diamond, hardest of all, is the usual gem of choice.

IMO having only 3 prongs makes that design look extremely vulnerable.
Though beautiful, I'd say a heart diamond e-ring would be safer with 5 prongs.
Also a thicker band would be safer.
Removing metal and replacing it with diamonds further reduces strength.

Additionally, a larger the stone attached to a thinner the band lends itself to structural integrity.

I just prefer a design more likely to last a lifetime with lower odds of damage.

Above I wrote, " ... a larger the stone attached to a thinner the band lends itself to structural integrity."

Correction: ... a larger stone attached to a thinner the band further reduces structural integrity.

Too late to edit.

If you don't like the diamonds on your engagement ring shank, why not have it replaced with a plain shank and then get a band with diamonds that you do like? (I'd also love to see that heart bezelled with a sleek thin bezel to highlight the shape as it's such a pleasing heart shape but that's totally personal preference.)
For the set to look cohesive, I'd recommend diamonds with a similar brilliant/splintery faceting as your main diamond, not necessarily heart shapes but if you chose a shape like a baguette which has broader faceting, forthe wedding band for example, it might not look so intentional.
Have a look at the stack of the day thread - there's lots of examples of how people style their rings.

Omg i looove your heart diamond!
An engraved band would look beautiful or just a plain comfort band.
But i need sooo many more pictures please!

If you wanted something beyond a plain gold band, your next hardest material will be sapphire or spinel. and you can choose from a lot of different colors if you're going with something custom. With both, consider channel set instead of prongs as that helps to protect the stones a bit more.

You could also consider garnets as well.

Katia, did you already buy that heart ring?

Dictionary.com says the term, "styling" is a noun or adjective, not a verb.
That's why I assumed you must be referring to a style for a ring that you are planning, and the pic was found online.

Also, contributing to the misunderstanding ... on PS the forum for sharing a ring you already have is, "Show me the Bling".
If I knew you already owned that ring I would never post anything but compliments, or post nothing at all.

Clearly other posters understood your use of the term styling, and I'm just an old boomer. :knockout:
Don't worry, we'll all be dead soon enough.

A plain rose gold band would be great. If you like diamonds but something different from the e-ring band, maybe bezel-set rounds? Or a marquise-dot band to play with shape?

Sorry no I already own this ring. It was a gift for my 10 year wedding anniversary as my previous engagement ring ‘dissapeared’ when doing renovations and I’d left it laying around

here is another photo do you don’t think I steal other peoples photos online.

I love a good stack of different textures. You could have fun with a rose gold band of come type. I think your ring is beautiful.

Your ring is beautiful Katia and I think your grammar is fine too! What about a thin band with scattered diamonds and some engraving?

CVB does some beautiful ones.

Or if you prefer whimsical

This is plainer but still has some lovely detailing

Edit to say I’m in the UK but hopefully these links still work

My tendency is to go all the way over the top and pair with a pink sapphire eternity band

I think that rose gold light pink sapphire band that @OreoRosies86 posted would be beautiful (if you like pink). The other option
I like, as mentioned above, would be a thin engraved rose gold band.

Don't know how much you want to spend, but some of these customized curved bands in this thread are amazing, and emphasize the shape of your unique center stone.

I wanted to add pretty ring by the way! We dont get to see too many heart-shaped rings!
