On this Facebook page, "Fine faceted Gems & Cabs Market" ,(created by Jason Brim) last night this lot of spinels came up for sale. I had just seen them and was comtemplating on purchasing them when they got snatched out from under me..LOL. I don't really buy many stones anymore but this deal was so damn good it was hard even for me to pass up.
These spinels have some gray to them but 15 stones at a 1.07ct average for only $8.30 each!!!!!!!!!(actually less since shipping was included)

Over a carat each for less than $8.30 each!!!!!!
Gray or not this was such a killer deal and I am kicking myself for not buying it. The seller is highly reputable too.!

Here is another lot that came up 20 hours prior that I missed out on as well. I would have snatched this one up too!
The color is so nice on these Burmese red spinels. The one on the right has color that pops!

eye clean - some small inclusions under 10x

centre - .84ct - 5.82 x 4.86 x 3.63 mm
... left - .54ct - 4.99 x 4.41 x 3.36 mm

open bright red color, no brown and not dark, all are precision cut

I was thinking about that last night Chrono. I would like to have had a necklace or something made up to give to my Mom. I would probably had someone like George Ellis do it up for me.
