I can''t believe I did this... I stayed outside longer than I planned today and got a sunburn. And my wedding is in 5 days

I''m usually so carefuly and put on tons of sunscreen...agh!!

Luckily, the burn is only on my chest and it doesn''t look too bad. I''m hoping it will fade by Saturday. However, I''m worried that I''m going to have tan lines now and I have a strapless dress. Does anyone know how I can hide the lines? Should I try using bronzer?

Oops!

Lots of aloe on the burnt part along with heavy moisturizer [you don''t want to peel]. I''d use some self tanner on the untanned part and then blend it all with bronzer. I had to do this last week! [albeit not for a wedding!]

Ditto DiamanteBlue. keep your skin moisturised at ALL times!

Thritto! lots of moisturizer, careful application of self tanner and then bronzer on the day of. Been there, done that, got the tee shirt to show for it!

Quadritto! Sending you lots of dust so you don''t peel.

Also, it''s good to keep well hydrated, so try and drink plenty of extra water, it''s always great for your skin anyway.

Oh I didn''t think about self-tanner. Maybe I''ll do that tomorrow so it has time to de-orange if necessary. Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

I''ve been wearing the same strapless bathingsuit for 2 months in order to avoid this, and to try and get rid of tan lines left over from last summer.

If you have the chance, put on a stapless bathingsuit and spend 30 minutes in the sun for the next three days (stop Thursday), it should naturally even itself out. 30 minutes should be the right amount of time, not to burn but to allow the area that didn''t get color to absorb some more. For whatever lines might be left, use self-tanner and bronzer. Also, Nordstrom has some tanner wipes that you can use and then don''t rub off on clothing (like white dresses

That is my advice and what I usually do.
