It looks just as big as Phoenix's 5 ct'er on your hand!!! What is your finger size again? The G color is perfect and how wonderful to find an eyeclean SI-2, too!

Rosebloom! Hahaha! It's funny how fun it is to look at Tiffany pieces even though we are cut nuts on PS! There really is something special about the whole experience - must be all that great marketing working its magic on our brains! But truly, the history in that building is incredible. So beautiful. Ahh, I did wear some of my pieces but they were dwarfed! I will try to post a pic so you can see everything and the comparison...LOL

Mom2boys! Hahahaha! Yes, wait until Phoenix gets that ring as the next upgrade! But with her 5.3 carat, I don't think she will ever need an upgrade again! That rock is blinding and huge! So pretty, right? Totally got my wheels turning for sure!

It's such a funny story as to how I got to go. I was part of charity gala last year and one of the items up for auction was Breakfast at Tiffany. You got the entire salon breakfast experience with six of your friends - tea and breakfast amid the millions of dollars of jewels. And at the end, you got your pick of one of three diamond and platinum celebration rings! The auction price : PRICELESS.

So of course, I was a good girl and refrained from bidding on other items for the night because I was saving to bid on this item. Well, I started bidding and my table was right up front so the auctioneer on loan from Sotheby's (just to tell you how GOOD this guy was at getting the cash flowing from our pockets) walked up and stood behind my CHAIR goading me on, pitting me against the whole room during the auction! :lol: NO JOKE! It was both hilarious and um, very motivating! It was a heated battle! And then, I WON!!!!!

But then, oh! Someone in the back outbid me by an amount I wasn't going to match. Normally, they would not have allowed this in a true live auction but this was for charity so we all laughed and let it go. I was so happy for the charity, too! Later, the Tiffany reps, who were present, came by and said they would be happy to give us the experience since we were clearly such fans of their amazing jewelry. It was a dream come true! :love: They were very generous to us and I will forever treasure that very special "gift" from Tiffany! :love:

canuk-gal, I wish we had a PS discount!!!!! Wouldn't that be nice? Even with a 90% PS discount off of a $2 million ring, it would still be... $200,000. A bargain!!!! Someone snap it up! *enable enable enable* :naughty:

pandabee - that huge stunner was very comfortable and sat low on the hand. Ohhhh, how I wish I had taken more pictures! And profile pictures!!!!! I forgot I had it on as I munched cannoli! Hahahahaha. Even seeing the pieces up close, I was really blown away. They even put pave diamonds on undersides of surfaces that you can't even see...just because. The attention to detail is amazing.

amywife13 - your new ring could have been in the salon! Maybe I saw it!!!!! :love: Who needs the salon when you have your ring?

Diamondseeker - WHAT UPGRADE??????? :naughty: :love: :naughty: :love: I was surprised and thrilled, too! Yekutiel has an awesome relationship with Vatche - he just picked up the phone and they immediately said they could do it with my existing setting! I was so happy! I don't want to know what a U113 would cost for a stone that size. They go up pretty high as the stone gets bigger. I'm loving Vatche - so wonderful and many thanks of course to Yekutiel's MAGIC!

Oh, wow, Bliss, what a fantastic story about how you were able to go!!! I am impressed with Tiffany for doing that, I really am! Maybe I will go buy something there to let them know how much I appreciate them treating you well! :lol: :lol: :lol: (I can always find an excuse!!!)

In a way, that was almost good you were outbid!!! :bigsmile:

(I am just slightly contemplating another diamond but I didn't want to pay for a whole new setting! I wondered if they would change heads, and bam, you did it so now I know!!!)

Hi Bliss, thank you for These wonderful pictures and all your detailed descriptions. So thoughtful of you to understand how much we bling obsessed people would love it. What an unbelievable experience. I agree with you. That solitaire on you is my favorite too. Although it looks like an icy poker chip, it still looks great, and believe it or not, I think you could pull it off!! Although you would probably need armed guards with you wherever you went. :). You upgrade is so beautiful. Definitely DSS inducing!! Thanks so much again. I am bookmarking this thread.
