Dageman-

Can I ask you where you purchased the setting from? Also, are there square emeralds in the band, or princess stones like you said?

I absolutely love it! When do you plan on giving it to her?

Thanks everyone!

Dreamer Ill give that a try when i have time and post a few more... although in this god forsaken country (Canada) we barely get any daylight in winter... its dark and miserable all the time! hahah
Haha I live in Canada too! Lucky for us, ECs look best in the diffuse daylight you get on a cloudy day!

Can''t wait to see more close ups and the hand shots!

Dani - I got both the setting and the stone from a local B&M jeweller in downtown Toronto. The name is La Boutique Del Gioello (in case you are local I'm not sure where you are from)

The 2 sidestones are EC's but the ones channel set in the band are definately princess cuts (which is good because they lend themselves to a bit more sparkle for the setting than would ECs)

Feel free to ask me any other questions. If I can get home from school before the sun sets one of these days Ill post some daylight shots. I am planning on proposing sometime in April or May, as I still have to settle a few things regarding a condo and also ask her father for his blessing!

Good job!! Lovely center stone; and I may be a biased Tacori owner, but that is a beautiful setting.

Thanks Dageman!

I would LOVE to see more pics when you get a chance. Your FF is a very lucky girl!!!

eta: I only asked about the stones in the band being square emeralds b/c that's what I thought the stock Penguin setting included. Was that something you customized (using princesses)? So pretty!!!

No I didnt have it customized. The stock setting comes with princess cuts channel set... according to what I received anyways!

Picked it up today! It looks just amazing. Want to thank everyone here on PS for helping to educate me, though I did not use a PS vendor I learned invaluable information on this site that helped me to make the best choices for the centre stone and get a good deal on the whole package! I feel great about the purchase! I think my FF will love it!

Now for some pics. Quite possibly the most difficult thing Ive ever tried to take a picture of in my life! hahah... so excuse the poor quality pics they don''t do the ring justice! Also excuse my man hands hahah.. I took them with the ring on my pinky... its the same as my GFs ring finger (yes i am dainty ok)

The ring is just gorgeous!

Dani - I made a mistake!!! As it turns out the diamonds channel set are actually step cuts... so yeah i guess they are more emeraldy than princess (they are square stpe cuts)
I could have sworn I read somewhere that they are princesses... maybe on BillBarnes????

I dont know either way they are so small its hard to tell.. but I was curious today and looked closer and they are step cuts... silly me!

Anyways I guess that makes more sense to you now... hahah... you must have thought I was nuts!

Congratulations on selecting a beautiful ring - I''m sure your FF will love it! Good luck with your proposal, and be sure to come back and tell us how it goes (and post some hand shots on her hand)!!

haha. This made me laugh because my FI determined if my ring was the right size by putting it on his pinky (he had tried on a sizer that he knew fit my finger to see if it fell on the same part of his pinky..)
