Hi,
I think the idea of a tiny RB diamond flush with the interior of the band is cute. I have found numerous threads here about ''surprise diamonds'' here, but most of those are on the side of the basket or prongs.
Does anyone here have one? How much did it cost? I may ask my maker (haha) to add one in. Any problems? What size? 6pt?
thanks,
tony

I think it''s a matter of personal preference really. I appreciate the idea, but don''t really see the point of paying for diamonds and craftsmanship you won''t see. If you''re going to have something on the inside of the band why not make it more meaningful? Engrave your partner''s initials, or a message from them/for them? It''ll be just as invisible, but will mean a whole lot more.

No way. Do you know how much hand cream women use? We avoid our rings but it could travel inside the ring some, just get yucky and attract dirt & stuff. No.

Yeah, I thought about that. No matter how flush the stuff inside the band tries to be, gunk will collect there. Eeew.

We (me and my wife) have one in our wedding band. I have a pink diamond (which represents her) in mine. She has a blue diamond (represents me) in hers. They are small (about 1 pt each) and maybe $100 or so to do. I can''t really remember the price. 6 pts might be too big depending on the wedding band size. No problems with them.

I love the idea myself! I have a ruby set inside my solitaire band, it is small (1 pointer) in a 4 mm wide band. It has been hammer-set so it''s completely flush, and I haven''t had any problems with it. I agree with an earlier poster that a 6 pointer might be a bit big. I''d say go for it!
