Tell me what you think of Mr. Kat''s big day look

As some of you know, I am terribly indecisive and incredibly hard to please. We have been working on FI''s look for awhile now and have made some headway, but I cannot decide if I am totally pleased. Does everything look okay to you? If not what would you change? We are not having a formal wedding, but are instead having a tiny DW and then a backyard barbeque to celebrate when we return.

Oh my goodness Kat...you wouldn''t believe how similar his look is to the look my FI will have.

He wants (and I want him to also) to wear black slim leg pinstripes, with matching fitted waistcoat, cream shirt with the sleeves rolled up and red tie! He''s wearing red skate shoes too. Very off beat. I love it.

So in short? I love the look your FI is going for!

I like the way the first matches your shoes, buuuuut I''m not totally sold on the two different kinds of stripes. It just seems a bit much. I''d do a solid tie (but I''m kind of plain jane about stuff like this).

But in all seriousness, looks great! I tend towards the tie being tucked in (e.g. not sticking out below the vest) but only you know if that level of casualness is OK.

Yup, girlface, they are CLs. They cost more than my dress, but that is okay, right?!

I wanted to wear Kate Spades, but I ended up ordering them too big and then not being able to get my size when I went to return them. But, being 'stuck' with these shoes is no problem!

Are your FI's wearing Chuck's, DMB and sunnyd? I want FI to look like himself (though these are remarkably cleaner than his everyday shoes).

Yay, merrymunky! Did you have trouble finding the outfit? We got his at J.Crew (not sure if they ship internationally, though). Our FI's are going to be HAWT!

I hear you, princess. FI thinks that a totally plain tie is too 'Dad' and isn't sold on the idea. I did get him to agree with the textured tie, but his shirt is textured and I thought it looked busier than the striped one. Maybe I should have him try it with a plain shirt.

Thanks, Diva! I am working on being able to work them rather than wobble them. Are you doing well in your CLs (or are you already versed in super thin shoes)?

lol, rockzilla. I didn't even notice the tie was hanging out. Yes, I wholly agree that it should be tucked in, but I am glad you pointed it out so I can make sure to tell FI to tuck it!

We haven''t actually bought the outfit yet, except the red skate shoes and red tie. We''re going to go looking this week. I''ve been on at him for ages now and the wedding is now only 5 weeks away! Bless him. He''s so casual about these matters.

I like the look overall, but think that maybe a different, looser vest would work better--right now, it mostly just looks funky-casual because of the Converse, y''know? Maybe one with fewer buttons? Or maybe just that same vest, but not buttoned up all the way?

Maybe this is *too* casual for you, but this is sort of the idea that I am imagining with the pinstripe pants and Converse shoes. Plus, if his white shirt was a little undone at the neck and the tie was a bit loose, that''d be ultra sexy

...but again, probably too far away from the look you''re going for.

Anyway, just my two cents, honey pie! Feel free to completely ignore me if I''m way off from what you''re thinkin''.

I got them on Bluefly at an incredible price (considering), though not as good as cocolaw got hers for. I would keep checking there, just in case. They are from 2007 now, so maybe you can find them cheap. I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

M will be wearing a dark suit (haven''t bought yet--but I''m hoping for charcoal-ish, maybe a subtle pinstripe), ivory tie to match my dress, and black chucks. All the guys will wear chucks with ties to match the BM colors.

Funny! I just love the look of chucks and a suit. Too cute.

Bottom Line: Mr. Kat will look fab! I like all those ties, actually.

Also love this look--especially since Casey Affleck is not too shabby to look at. I am sure FI will be rocking this look by the end of the night without question, regardless of whether he starts that way or not.

Not use to thin heels, but it''s given me the excuse to wear them in the house every day. hehehehehe
