So after being appropriately amazed by everyone's wrist-bling
I have decided to go forward with my next addition to my collection....

I am just indecisive and (unfortunately) impulsive (trying to kick that habit)

I have been reading and looking, oooo-ing and ahhh-ing...

So maybe a few more recommendations are needed by ppl that
have wrist-bling and have opinions on them....

First, here's what I am considering....

http://www.whiteflash.com/diamond-bracelets/three-prong-diamond-tennis-bracelet-509.htm

http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/diamond-bracelets/shared-prong-bangle-14k-white-gold-5418w14

http://www.whiteflash.com/diamond-bracelets/braided-link-diamond-bracelet-650.htm

In my searches, I also saw a lovely picture of a full-bezel tennis-bracelet that was milgrained...
not sure where that picture went and whose it was, but I love it....
Also a non-milgrained bezel bracelet of noniemarie's that she got from IDJ that is beautiful...

Anyway..... I am planning to wear it on my right hand.
My hands are not "small" and so not sure is the bangle "opens up" to accommodate for that.
I would want to wear it daily.
Needs to be white gold.
(Diamond) size matters 8-)
I have a budget of about 5-7 planned for it.
Wearability and sparkle are key here.

If you have a bracelet or bangle, could I get opinions on why you love it (or don't)
and how often you wear it?
I am def a pendant / bracelet / earring / ring kind of gal. Every day.
Casual, not tailored....

Thanks, all !!!

( Good quality is presumed, with the vendors I have in mind :))

Oh and also, for those who have bangles,
do they rotate too much, so that the diamonds are on the
underside of the wrist more than the top
(that might bug me.)

What an exciting project!!

My understanding is that the BGD bangle opens up to be put on. And I know I've read that because of the oval shape it does not rotate (diamonds always stay on top).

Do you spend a lot of time at a keyboard? I know some people feel the tennis bracelet style is less likely to bang on the keyboard so that may be something to consider.

My three favorite styles of bracelets are the diamond bangle - so fresh but still classic, and with your budget would be amazingly gorgeous; the delicate milgrained bezel for an antique look; or a vintage thin line bracelet. Your budget will give you the most bang for your buck with the bangle since the diamonds are only on the top. So that's probably what I'd pick! I cannot wait to see what you decide!

I don't have either a diamond bangle bracelet or tennis bracelet, but I thought I'd offer my two cents' worth anyway! :wink2:

I wear cuffs and bangles regularly - as in at least a few times per week, and I have no problems with comfort or with them getting in the way. I really like the idea of a tennis bracelet style though - if it's done well - because you get additional sparkle and movement and that lovely sinuous flow. For me the main thing a fixed, bangle-style diamond bracelet would have going for it is that it's more unique.

Here is a 3.70 tcw 3 prong tennis bracelet I bought for my wife from BGD. It sparkles like crazy, does not irriate or rub anything.

HI:

I have a diamond bangle--it is an entire circle of diamonds, like an eternity ring. It is my favorite piece. It is often admired.

But it is not a bracelet for everyday. For more frequent wear, I'd get would get the style that are half diamond (top) bottom gold.

Thing is you don't need a bracelet with large carat weight to get sparkle factor: WF, BGD with their melee are blinding. And since I do not have their bangles, I think the half diamond bracelets are designed not to spin.

Tennis bracelets have a higher degree of functionality. It is simply a preference.

Good luck!

cheers--Sharon

Hi,

I don't wear anything on my wrists but I like the look of diamonds all the way around. A thin line (smaller ct weight) around the wrist. However, I think Noniemarie's is compelling because it's beautiful and the diamonds are protected. It can be worn anywhere doing anything without fear of a diamond being chipped. I'd go with that or a three-prong, based on looks!

I love bracelets and bangles! I have 2 that I wear daily a baby 1.5 carat tennis bracelet that I don't have any pictures of right now, and then my baguette round bangle. I had always have bangle issues in the past because I have small wrists, but I found a jeweler that was able to size this one down quite a bit from a 6.5" to 5.75" wrist. I requested the shape of the bangle to be more oval so the bangle wouldn't spin around since it's the diamonds are only half way around. Below is a pic of the before and after sizing.

I would probably go for a bangle as I have a 3ct tennis bracelet (bought pre-PS) that I just don't wear. It is lovely but I find that since I got my cartier bracelet it just looks odd to stack it with a tennis bracelet. At some point I will put it up for sale. I like how the bangle is just more durable plus I feel they are less distracting while wearing it. I work on a computer all day long and when I'm wearing the tennis bracelet I find that it is uncomfortable to wear while typing and the clinking sounds it makes hitting my desk annoys me terrible. For all those reasons I would much rather prefer a bangle though I like the look of a tennis bracelet better.

Y'all are giving me a lot to think about, plus the BEAUTIFUL PICTURES !!!!

the more advice, the better !!!!!
This is a harder decision than I thought it would be.......

Oh, and I keyboard a *little bit* during my day, but it's not a majority of what I do.
I haven't found that the bangles and bracelets I typically wear annoy me too much
although if I keyboarded all day, it probably would....

Sizing is key to any bracelet or bangle. I can't wait to see what you decide on!!

I love my bezeled bracelet. I've seen a lot of pretty bangles on here but I don't like how an oval fitted bangle looks on me. They make me feel like my wrist and hands are huge. I have my bracelet pushed up on my right arm as I type and it rarely hits the keyboard. I think a bangle, sitting low on the wrist, would hit more. When I wear it on my left hand, I slip it over my watch if I need it to be out of the way. I do like my bracelets loose so I had it made 7.5" long. My wrist, below the bone, is 6.5". Having a more fitted tennis bracelet has the same look as the fitted bangle so that wasn't going to work for me.
Mine is made with 42 10pters and a thin bezel. When on and from a distance, the diamonds look to be about the size of my 20pt eternity, tons of flash and sparkle. I've slept, showered and done all sorts of things with it on and never worried that the prongs would catch or worried that I was going to damage it. The cost was just below your budget and because of the setting it looks twice the tcw.
I probably could have one of the bezels removed to make it a smidge shorter but then I wouldn't have the option of sliding it out of the way up on the arm or over my watch. I've added some photos so you can see the length. It sounds, like me, you are weird about your hands looking too big.

I am also loving all the above suggestions... but here's another:
What about a custom DBTY with larger stones and set much closer than the usual ones are. Say .15 - .20 and set 3/4" - 1" apart for your wrist size? It gives some bling, not a ton like the tennis bracelet or bangle would, but it is also easy to 'wear', in that it is not banging on anything.

I am planning one in that vein and thought I'd share my idea with you!

I was just coming here to suggest this very thing! Great minds think alike!

Here's a picture of a vintage necklace from Lang that I adore.
http://www.langantiques.com/products/item/90-91-970

I've always thought that style would make a gorgeous bracelet. Enerchi I can't wait to see what you decide to do! My only concern would be the culets poking on the inside of my wrist as that's a bit if a sensitive spot for me. But no doubt it'd be stunning!

First of all, Dancing Fire, Aaaaaaaahhhhh, that bangle is AMAZING!!!!!

Ahhh, GEEEEEZ, I'm driving myself crazy :errrr: :errrr: :errrr:

The more I see, the more I read, the more I wonder...
It's not an inexpensive purchase, and I want to get it right,
but the truth is, I'm likely to love anything, really....
That's what's making this so difficult.
I need the eagle eyes of the PSer's to help me stay level-headed...

I think at this point, though, bangle is something I could come back to
another time.....
(now, if I could have one like joolsie, though ..... OMG !!!!!! GAME OVER !!!)

The only question left for me now is, 3 prong tennis bracelet, or bezel ?

(And 1-800-We-Enable, and Dancing Fire, great minds DO think alike !!!
That was something I had thought about as well !!!! )

also, Size-wise..... carat, that is....
When are small stones too small, big stones too big,
lifting you out of the realm of everyday wear, if you know what I mean ?
In terms of wrist bling, that is? (NOT Ring-Bling :sun: )

Also, quality.... That too !!! I want it to be a nice, quality piece,
within my budget, of course,
I have read so many opinions on WF ACA stones vs .... other.
(keep in mind, my 5-stone is IDJ and absolutely NO complaints...)

Those are the rest of the questions worrying me.... See how torn I am?

Really, Nonie, the fit of yours seems perfect to me...
To my eye, it's loose and casual, the size of the stones compared to your hand = just right...
So, something like that *maybe milgrained* :cheeky: , if they could do that,
(*where IS that picture I saw, it's really killing me, and it was on PS too....)

But I could get the same general appearance with a classic tennis bracelet
Looser, casual..

The bezels appear more daily-wear, the tennis bracelet more special-occasion....
Does anyone else think that way?

WHY CAN'T I DECIDE????????????????????????????????? :errrr: :errrr: :errrr:

Brian Gavin website has the bezel with milgrain.

http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/diamond-bracelets/round-tennis-18k-white-gold-5656w18

I got the 3 prong 6ctw from Whiteflash and wore it everyday for about three weeks (my custom size is being delivered today). It is very comfortable to wear and so beautiful. I think either the bezel setting or prong setting is fine for causal or special occasion.

I really like the bezel set with milgrain. I felt the 3 prong was more my style.

It really helps to try them on to see what style you prefer.

Looking forward to see what you get.

Oh YA, that BG Bezel bracelet is shockingly beautiful !!!!

I think I have narrowed it down to WF for this purchase....

Hey, here's another thought...

If I go with a 3 carat 3-prong, then would the stones be "too" small?
Because if not, then maybe I could add a pair of hoop earrings !!!!
or..... a bangle and the earrings !!!!

(somebody stop me)

Get the 3ctw 3-prong from Whiteflash. If it is too small, then exchange it for the 4ctw. If it is the right size, then get the earrings!

Hmmmmmmm

I never did think of that !
You make a lot of sense.....
Here's how I feel right now... :twirl:

+1 for Donna's idea : order the smaller of the 2 tennis styles (the 3ctw) and then you can decide if its ok so you can then order the earrings --- omg--- how perfect is *that* plan???? Easy peasy - bring out the credit card - "add to cart"!!! :D :naughty:

**or**

order both at the same time and save on shipping!! See -- you just saved yourself some money right there!! (never mind they may not charge for shipping - ignore that little detail...)

I know !!!! But the standard Tennis bracelets are 7 inches and I need 7 1/2 !!!!!!
Also, I just went on "Chat" and to modify the length makes this a "Semi-Custom" piece and not
subject to return....

Hmmmm, but I "could" drive down and visit their showroom....
Hmmmm, but I would have to take a day off work to do it....
They are only open on workdays.... Geeeeez.......

I think you should try to go to their showroom to try them on (if the driving is within reason and you are able to take the time off work). Best to make sure you like it and to get proper sizing before doing a special order.

That makes so much sense !!!

I think I will do exactly that !!!!

Thanks to everyone who took the time and helped with pictures,
I will update after I have driven down to Whiteflash *(not that far)
and have made a decision :sun:

um??? A day drive to go and try on bling at WF!?!?! What's to think about??? *cough*<callinsick>*cough* and come back and post EVERYTHING you can get a picture of!! I'd authorize your time off - no problem ... just have them contact Enerchi and tell them it's a bling emergency! All of PS will co-sign for you!

Can you try on the earrings too? are you thinking hoops? studs? jackets?? DETAILS, woman, DETAILS!!! :naughty:

Here are some arm pics if you want more ideas. My wrist are actually small and I usually wear 6" or under bracelets. I no longer own any of these 3 bracelets as there was something wrong with each of them (sort of like the 3 bears).

2.85ct, 3.5ct, 6.3ct
