I''m really happy with my purchase, and received excellent support from everyone at GOG and AGA. I checked it out under the scope here at work and verified the small (absolutely eye clean) inclusion and the girdle engraving (no switcheroo!).
While I was looking at it our the lab, I was talking to a coworker and she showed me her new ring, she got engaged several days ago. I certainly didn''t hold them up side by side, but it was painfully obvious to me how much more brilliant and sparkly mine was. Cut DOES matter!! Buying an ideal diamond is the only way to go!! My eyes hurt after seeing the thing in direct sunlight - its too bright to look at!
Tonight I''m getting it set in a WG X-prong type setting at Sibke Hoyt, whom I have found to be very helpful. So far, they are much better than most B&M stores in regards to being willing to work with a diamond thats not theirs even (gasp) an Internet diamond. When I was looking at settings, I mentioned that I was geting an AGS000 H&A, and the guy kept telling me what a great stone that would be, and I would love it. He even offered to let me come in and use their H&A arrows viewer. Anyway, I''ll report back on how the whole setting procedure goes, but so far after talking to several different people there, I have been fairly impressed by them.
Hopefully I''ll have pics soon. I tried with a Sony digital today, but I couldn''t get any to come out right (stupid autofocus doesn''t let you zoom in very well)
Thanks again so much to GOG and everyone here at Pricescope!
