I do think the current baguettes would work but once you start the CADs it could be fun to see if another pair would work for you. Yes! The ring is so easy to clean because he added two holes instead of the one to the cup so I haven’t had any issues. @Niel was such a huge help in guiding me on the construction of my ring, can’t wait to see how the new spin on it turns out!
 
@pearaffair I am sooo happy that you purchased this ring!! It looks amazing on you! :love: My advice would be to enjoy this beauty in its current setting for a while before changing it up and understand the things that you like or would like to change before diving into a new pricey setting. It is gorg!

You better be careful @pearaffair . That tiny hand may decide to run away with that beautiful ring. My 4 year old grandniece told me she was going to put on one of my rings and just wear it for a little while, then she was going to put it in her purse. LOL.

I would leave the setting as it is. That stone doesn’t need a halo.

So.

I want to do the following: get the head dipped in yellow gold, get the ring appraised, get the ring insured. In which order should I do these things?

Thank you! That’s kind of what I suspected. Do you figure I’d need a new appraisal and new insurance after getting it dipped?

But I mean, cmon, this before/after by KKJohnson shows that changing a ring’s setting can dramatically change the way the stone looks! I want to see what a yellow gold head can do.
 
I think it is so perfect as it is! But fairly easy to switch it back to white if you don’t like the yellow.

Oh really? Thanks for the info!! Would they just rhodium plate over the yellow golden plating... ?

Any insight into the process would be much appreciated as I sometimes get nervous talking to people in jewellery stores. The less I have to ask about, the better, haha!
 
OMG! Hazel is so beautiful! I love a big, fat marquis. The current setting is such a beautiful classic, but I do think she'd look gorgeous with a yellow head.

That is a beautiful ring. It reminds me of one that Amethyst owned. I think she called it Lemony, but I could be wrong about that. What a gorgeous stone. I would be thrilled to own it just exactly as it is.
