i love it

I'm glad to hear that. Maybe I'll notice them now as I really don't think I have seen many, but maybe I just didn't look!

it's little. About 3/4" tall without the bale and about 1/2" wide. I tend to wear smaller pieces so the size is just right for me. I now have to figure out what chain to use with it.

i saw another locket yesterday on a customer,
our shop is in an old money part of town
a lovely gold locket on an older lady
not overly large, but very striking, very gold

honestly with out this thread im wondering if i would even notice all these lovely lockets -im always looking for brooches !

ok not vintage more retro
bu a middle aged lady came in with a beautiful engraved rather large gold locket
we got talking -i asked who had given it to her?
she said she had brought it herself in the early 80's when she started work
she had brought it from what is now the mall jeweller but i know back then a lot of jewellery was still NZ made

Marked 10k gold filled, and P.S. Co
Made by Plainville Stock Co, Plainville MA. Probably 1880s-1900 or so.

this week ive seen some lovely lockets come into work
some lovely silver ones
inspired me to wear mine ....except i couldnt manage to do up the catch-
i think it might go into the jeweller for a larger O or something
