Hi Acinom, just saw this! It doesn’t have a thread that I can remember ( or find) -but it is a milky aquamarine. My first foray into colored stones and I love it. It changes from pale grey to blue to intense blue depending on the lighting.

I have a new box! A sustainable ringbox from young designer Nina who specializes in organic shapes and fairmined jewelry. The ring is made from grass. The insert-cushion feels very cheap and not sustainable at all. The box itself is very cute and has a great size.

They are from diamondmounts of eBay. However, I don't use boxes as the rings go into my cheapo Muji perspex storage trays.

The gem is from starlanka. they recommended this gem for me at a really reasonable price! They’re not too well known yet though but I highly recommend them!

I looove this box. Handmade, simple, high quality... I store my 3 Victor Canera CS rings in these. Sorry Victor and Caysie!

but
a while ago (not long after mum died)
I brought a wooden jewkery box on trade me (nz ebay)
I had it delivered to work and of course opened the package on arrival
i came back from morning tea to my workmates looking at it and discussing if my mother was in there

Per request, here is an Alex Park box. I’ve seen other more substantial boxes from him. Given this was overnighted and the whole double packing/security issue, I think this box is what fit inside the overnight packaging most securely.
