This is tiny - too delicate for me really
Sorry its out of focuss

i almost wish i had brought two to make into earings
its a pohutakawa flower - the NZ Christmas tree
The chain its on is too short.
Im thinking about putting it on the end of a necklase's extension when i get all my restringing done
I often wear my hair up so i like the look of a wee dangle on the back of my neck

Big challenge to capture the true color of this stone! My first ruby 1.32ct unheated Burma. Color truer next to the Cartier box. I’ve always been enticed by rubies and emeralds around this time of year. Treat yo self, it’s been a hard year!

@mrs-b you sure know a thing about Christmas cheer! Die Hard is one of my favorite holiday movies and it was released in mid-July. :lol-2: Your bling is seriously cheer inducing.

Thank you, @LLJsmom! I did my living/dining room yesterday - 4 of us worked on it all day - and it's now a thing of Christmas beauty. :))

My husband took me to 3 different places today until I found a Christmas tree I was happy with. TBF we wanted to go to a cut your own but the first place we went to only had precut... it was super close though so we figured we’d look. We’ve never done cut your own before but it was tons of fun (after we got to the second farm) and there are so many different types of trees, it’s unreal.

Naturally I had to use it as a backdrop. I actually sent my sapphire to DK yesterday and he has my 1.32 ct RB necklace so only the toi et moi got an iPhone photo shoot. None of these photos came out good... I might bring out my actual camera.

That 2nd photo with my reflection in my hot pink house coat just screams class. Lol
 
My addition to this thread... an everyday ring, with a good deal of sentiment attached to it. This was a wedding gift from my uncle to my mother, which she has since given to me. I always think of her when I stop to look at it. I think it's quite festive, and it helps me feel close to her as we celebrate our holidays from afar this year.

Very pretty!

It looks like what we call ʻōhiʻa lehua. There’s a jeweler that engraves the design in gold bangles with diamonds in the bangle. I want one but it was $10k when I checked like 4-5 years back so... no.
