It seems like

Three diamond sockets!

There is a litte design made by light passing through the ''sockets'' (I know that is not a technical term but it is all I can think of at this time)

My old ering had engraving on the edges/profile of the band. At first I really liked it, but I like that my new wedding set has the shiny plain look and also the carved and engraved look depending on which way I look at it

The leaves and flowers are really sculpted and detailed, but you can only really see that up close.

Platinum floral engagement ring and wedding ring by Van Craeynest. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this company! I had never seen anything like their designs. I think it has to do with the techniques used to make their rings.

Uncertified 0.70 ct round brilliant center diamond
G-H, SI1 (eye clean and cut so the inclusion is barely visible at the girdle under 10X)

Wow I have chubby fingers. Rings are size 7 and 3/8 ( a 7.5 tight...). Odd size, I know. I was impressed that the jewelers at VC could get so precise. Larry told me it was all dependent upon the accuracy of the mandrel used, and I suppose they must have [at least] one.

HI:

Delightful rings--so detailed! Enjoy!

cheers--Sharon

They are so beautiful! That milgraining on the edge is so fine....really amazing.

Yummo! Every time I see them I have to stare for quite a few minutes, lol! I should be ordering mine next week (finally)

. How wide is your band, just out of curiosity?

Thanks, LiB!!! You certainly are very good with the close-up shots! Your rings are just gorgeous

Hi Poptart
9.gif
!

Both bands are 3mm at the widest point and taper to 2mm wide at the narrowest point on the shank. They sit up about 2.5mm off the finger at the top where the leaves and flowers are, and 2mm off the finger on the underside. Both are slightly rounded inside and lots rounded outside (like a 3/4 round band), which is probably what makes them so comfortable to wear. I thought the taller shank would make them uncomfortable, but my ering is more comfy than my old ering setting that was much narrower and did not sit up as high (it was squared and not rounded, like a flat pipe cut band). I was thinking the other day that people think Van Craeynest prices are high, but they really are quite reasonable considering how much metal you actually get. Did you ask LV how thick your band will be?

OOooooh I can't wait to see pics of your new bangle wedding ring!!!

It is so hard to find pictures of VC anything. I drove myself temporarily insane trying to hunt down pics of VC pieces in their natural habitats

. Even all those stock photos at Micky Roof eventually failed to satisfy my craving for eye candy. It was better than nothing, though!

Take care,
LIB
