My DH also thought of glass when he first saw it. I thought it looks unique and beautiful. I guess I should not consider getting it..

It looks to me like blown glass art. In fact, I'd like one, the size of a football, for the table in my living room. (I didn't look at the link, I'm assuming it's actually a gemstone.)

A modern brooch: the aquamarine prong set and surrounded with scattered, bezeled diamonds floated at different levels with respect to the plane created by the bottom surface of the aqua. Kind of like waves with bubbles.

EDIT: I just read the posts above and the toothpaste cracks me up. It should be bought by an executive at Crest for a lapel pin. You could put 3 together in red, white and aquamarine for Aquafresh. This is from someone who likes the stone so no offense meant.

I thought of a seashell. It's huge. Can't picture wearing it without a brace! I'd put it on a table as art.

I think of Okinawa as when we lived there - there was alot of seaglass that color. I would put it with the rest of my Okinawan seaglass- in the bathroom for decor

ashtray - only because my great grandmother had one from the 50's that was made of glass and looked like that.

oh, that is a great idea! from one who also likes the stone....

I love this idea too! This stone deserves a beautiful contemporary setting to do it justice. It would look very out of place and cheap in a more traditional design.
