Hi,
I always find this quarterly newletter to be informative and interesting. It wasn't out at the end of Dec, and I watched Leibish and Company on CNBC this morning showing an over 1 million dollar pink diamond and decided to find the newsletter again. i found they both made and wrote similar comments on colored diamonds. This newletter also said that since August white diamond prices have fallen 16 %. This agrees with Tiffiny's CEO who also said their earnings fell because diamond prices had risen so much people stopped purchasing. Now diamond prices are down. Tiffiny lost money this quarter.
Before I get scolded by DL, I am in no way personally suggesting colored diamonds as an investment. However, there are those in the industry that do believe it. I think those that are interested in colored dia. should read this.
The newsletter also has a great interview with Cap Beesley on Laboratories. (He started AGL) His comments on GIA are interesting to say the least.
He has the latest gemstone prices as well.
