I want a c-section when I have kids. An episiotomy scares the poop out of me!
I''m actually really thankful that my vasheesh is still intact. C-secs are a breeze.
I''ve heard the opposite from a few people.

I''m so confused!
That''s because most women are fricking babies about it. Or they make their labor sounds like the worst thing EVAR! Whiners. I had everything go wrong that could go wrong and seriously it was no big thang and the recovery from the c was no big deal. Ya there is some pain but pain is relative and that''s what drugs are for. Seriously the worst thing for me was the nurse blowing through my vein the first i.v. attempt.

I''ve had so many bad IVs and blood draws in my lifetime. I wanted to kiss the nurses who did it correctly.

YAY for pain meds!!!
''Their'' arguments: why elect to have major surgery unless you absolutely must?

I''m neutral. As I said, either way freaks me out.
\

If you''re neutral then WHY are you bringing "the others" into OUR discussion?

I know! It was pretty effed up.

Ya whatever that''s because they want to think they are heros for having a baby out their vasheesh (there ya go Sunny). Well I tried for 3 hours to push my child out and it just didn''t work so shoot me.

because I'm confrontational!

derrrr.

Seriously, I'm just trying to understand the good and the bad of both since I'm really afraid of labor for some reason.

I have a good friend who, while I love her to death, is not the brightest or the most in touch with reality. Anyway, she was told she was too small to carry her baby to full term and have a vag birth and that she''d have to do a c-section. She''s the littlest person I know. TINY!!! Anyway she asked her doc if she could get a tummy tuck done at the same time. Like a two-fer!

My two cents: My doctor who has been an OB for like 20 years said that "everyone is a c-section until they prove otherwise" and she said she prefers to do c-sections these days because she feels they are safer. When I went for my 2 week post section check up she went over my whole labor report w/ me and said that I have like a 20% chance of having a natural birth and my pelvis is just too small. Wish I had known that before but the moral of the story is: just get the baby out whatever way is the safest. No one is better for having their baby naturally vs. c-section. The miracle is that you grew a fricking person in your body. The rest is crap.

I'm happy to do whatever is best for the baby.

My vag had some good years.. if it gets blown out, well... too bad. DH will have knocked me up, he can deal with it.

I'll just be happy to be a mommy.

My cousin was told the same thing. She''s not small but she has a very small birthcanal (or hips, one or the other, or both

). She ended up not having to have a c-section. Apparently (according to the nurses) some doctors LIKE to schedule c-sections so that they don''t have to be on-call as much. Even when it''s not medically necessary.

Don''t they have surgery for that too? Vasheesh tightening?

I just want to be able to close my eyes, say ''Abra Cadabra!'' and **poof!** there''s my baby!

I just cant see spending money on vasheesh tightening. I guess I''m not that self conscious about my vajay.

Id rather spent it on boobies if those get blown out, at least people kind of see those! My vajay is tucked!

sounds like my kind of doctors....

Lol. Yeah. Three weeks from today is the day before the wedding/bachelor/ette party day!

It hasn''t sunk in that I''m done with school yet though. Then again, I''m still waiting for 4 more grades to come rolling in.

So someone has to tell me what I''ve missed! I feel like I''ve been gone from you guys FOREVER!

Dude. You NEVER Have to go back to school again. EVAR!

T is convinced that he''s going to slip the doc a $20 and have him/her throw an extra stitch in when they''re taking care of any tearing, etc...I was like "there will be no tearing because you''re going to be there to massage the taint, aren''t you?"

My mom had vaginal with me and c-section with my brother. I was easy. He was breach.

She said the c-section was a cinch compared to the however many hours of unproductive labor. She''s for them if it makes your life simpler. My FMIL is DEAD SET against them and she had two. I almost felt bad for even suggesting them with my kids - how retarded is that?

So you see where my confusion stems from?

OMG I hate that word.
