Today, I was invited to my friend''s 16th birthday party. The party consists of a massive apples to apples game in a pillow fort. Am I attending? I''m bringing extra cards. MLIA

I just got an e-mail response back from the "account manager" at Comcast. The one who is supposed to make sure we are happy and help us with any issues that come up. (even if it is just to give us the phone number for the correct department)

So after being transferred and left on hold I sent her an update to my original "line is DEAD!!" e-mail.

This is all she has had to say on the issue:

Never mind that it was her fault the accounts were set up wrong to begin with. (she is the stereotypical Sales Rep -- cleavage showing blond who likes to giggle and doesn''t know the first thing about the products they offer)

On Sunday I was at church. When the "Peace be with you" part of the service came up, I was doing the typical handshakes with everyone around me. Until I saw this elderly lady with her hand in the shape of a fist. We proceeded to pound our fists together. What an epic sharing of peace. Old people are awesome. MLIA.

Today, I took a detour just so I could drive through the town of Cockermouth. MLIA.

Last night I spent over an hour at the dinner table creating a crime scene using only smiley fries, dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets and ketchup. MLIA.

I grew up in a college town, and one Halloween our doorbell rang and we opened the door expecting to see trickortreater-but what was in front of our open door..was another door! Like, a full-on wooden door, that had a sign that said "Please knock." So we did, and the door swung open to reveal a bunch of college dudes dressed as really old grandmothers, curlers in their hair, etc, who proceeded to coo over our "costumes" and tell us we were "such cute trick or treaters!" One even pinched my cheek. Then THEY gave US candy, closed their door, picked it up and walked to the next house. MLIA

Dude. Why didn''t these guys live in MY town!?

Is it totally stupid of me to feel sad that my wedding pics got hardly any comments? I mean most of them were me. I keep trying to be happy about them and about my stupid ill fitting dress, but the fact that nobody else seems to like them is really bumming me out.
