Honestly I don''t think its that big of a deal. A lot of times you communicate with old friends/acquaintances only through FB, and of course they want to see the ring!

Ok, posting stats and 47 different macro shots is a bit weird, but 2-3 shots so people can see the beautiful gift your new fiance gave you? Who cares?

I don''t know. I shared with PS because I knew everyone here would appreciate my ring. Sending it out in text messages...I wouldn''t. First and foremost, I don''t have many people in my life who share an interest in diamonds, and secondly, I don''t text message

T, re: facebook. I don''t have an issue with people posting ring pictures. I''m not a fan of posting the ring AS your fbook pic, though...I''d rather see your excited happy, smiling, tear-stained face. Nor do I have a problem texting people with pics of your ring...if they''re people you''d normally call/text but just want to tell everyone all at once.

Rest assured, when I get mine, there will be FB pics AND a LIW thread AND a SMTR thread. There will be no shortage of VC''s e-ring pics.

I actually FB Messaged an acquaintance for close up ring shots. She totally understood, and asked for mine when I got engaged.
