Ok not to be a serious downer here, but I am so heartbroken over what is going on in Haiti right now.

I mean 40-50,00 dead? 3 million homeless/injured?

I can''t even wrap my head around that. I wish I had some medical training so I could go down there and help!

I know, it is so tragic! And it''s like the whole infrastructure is destroyed -- how do you recover from that?

Ya Elle, it''s really bad. We all need to thank our lucky stars for what we have and that we live in the richest country on earth. Donate what you can and don''t take life for granted.

Amen, WL. I hate that it takes stuff like this for us to realize how good we have it, but MAN does it put stuff in perspective.

I saw a story about a little girl who lost her ENTIRE family (11 people!) when her house collapsed. How do you even move on from that?

It is very sad, we are very spoiled and don''t realize it often enough. I wish I was a millionaire, I would adopt all the displaced children who have lost their families. Breaks my heart.

Yes, exactly. I would fly down there in a heartbeat if I could help, but I have no medical training whatsoever.

No one can even really fly in right now, everything is so clogged up. And I guess things can''t even really get in through the DR, either, because the road from that side of the island to Port-Au-Prince is so awful.
