This is from the annual Fish Feed in 2008. My grandparents (Mom''s side) host a big get together the first weekend of July. Grandpa and the men sit around a deep fryer in the yard and fry up fish, onion rings, and mushrooms. Grandma and the women batter stuff for frying and get the salads ready.
One year there was just over 100 people there.

I look awful here. We''ve got 30 people over for food and the oven died the day before. Needless to say, I didn''t do my hair and still have on my run-around shoes.

I totally didn''t think you''d be a blonde! Cute picture! Looks like a great backyard, too...

You should have seen me when I was younger. I was really a blonde then. Especially in the summers.

Salads are mostly for looking at anyway. Between the fried foods & the dessert table (plus Grandpa''s homemade wine & smoked salmon) no one really cares much about the rest.
