The LIW Small Talk Thread

Morning, ladies! I have emerged from finals week & am going to play some catch-up on this thread. And by catch-up, I mean I''ll read back about 2 or 3 pages, because this thing moves fast!

Morning everyone... Im glad to see im not the only one whos had a crap weekend.....C and i got into a dicussion about my dream professional and made me rethink some thing about the relationship, even though i know what he said isnt true, but still. Not to mention the fact that our little boy dog is sick, and now we are giving him like 7 to 10 pills a day, not inculding his cough syrup....cant even walk, he gets to go in his dog pouch, and i walk him- he coughs all night, we got like no sleep with weekend...C got into a fight with his best friends, because he cant understand why him and his wife are lazy. She works from Home, but says she cant go out at night, even though she doesnt start work AT HOME till 10 am and C friend doesnt even work right now, nor is looking for a job! So he wasnt in the best moods...O and did i mention we found out on friday C has cancer

thanks, it was a crap weekend, hopefully this week and weekend will be better. Needless to say, im super stressed

Thank you, im okay, i really dont need to vent. Its not a surpised, we both kind of knew,im just worried cuz he has produres soon. Thank you so much, sigh, more worried about our little doggie...feels like everything hits you at once. Aug is going to be a busy month for us, with his prodecures, my family comming into town, our concert on the 8th and he surpised me last night with airline tickets and hotel to New Orleans for my birthday at the end of the month

Hey ladies! Just got back from a weekend at my friend''s cabin on Lake Chelan. I am so tired and sore from wakeboarding and innertubing, but it was SO much fun.

I hope things start looking up for you guys soon. Can I ask what type of cancer C was diagnosed with? FI is a cancer survivor (it was 4 years in April) and while it can be a really hard diagnosis, many types of cancer have really high survival rates. *hugs* I''ll keep a good thought for your doggie as well.

Lady, he has skin cancer. Im not surpised because about 9 to 10 years ago, he had it and had to have surgery to remove the skin that was cancerous. We are lucky because its stage 1, Thank God, and its on his arm this time, and not his face like last time. He still has a scar on his lip from where they had to cut, so we are getting lucky that its his arm, and still early. If he would have went a month ago when i told him to, we might have been able to get it before this point. But you know how men are, they dont listen. So he will be going back in next week, and i told him, i HAVE and NEED to go with him, so i can hear for myself from the doctors lips, that we got everything.

and i haven''t quite done the one contact thing. i wear hard contacts and had the same pair for a little over 4 years before i lost one in january

i went to get a loaner and they told me i couldn''t because it had been so long and that i''d have to schedule an appointment... which was not in my price range at that time. so for my friend''s b-day in february i used another friend''s soft contact that was a little bit too weak in my left eye. took a little bit to get used to

we''re giving princesss mullet makeover
 
I just have to gush about our honeymoon. We just booked last night.

We did a total 180 and went from a New England honeymoon to Puerto rico.

We're staying in two smaller inns... one is on the beach, literally. Steps away. The other is in the rainforest.

Rainforest Inn
Beach Inn

We'll be there from Monday October 12 to Sunday October 18.

I'm SO excited!! The room we're staying in at the Rain Forest inn has a balcony overlooking a waterfall. How COOL is that?
