Have you ever been to the Seattle Wine Company?
It is a little shop here in Bellevue.

their website

Peter is great at suggesting good stuff. Karen & Nabil are wonderful too.

They''ve got a spot near the back of the store and a spot near the register where they often have amazing deals ($60 bottle of cab on sale for $20) on some delicious wine. They''ve even got some nice stuff for as little as $8/bottle.

Tastings Friday afternoons.

i''m surprised he didn''t buy the telekenisis game from skymall. that thing looks cool! i haven''t figured out the gimmick behind it though (i''m fairly certain there has to be one)

I want lots of wine for Christmas. It''s fun to drink and an easy hostess gift to grab on your way out of the house.

We had a christmas party for our families and got 2 bottles of champagne and 2 bottles of wine. Woohoo!

Can you share where this petit sirah came from? I LOVE petit sirah. Probably my second favorite varietal (after cabernet sauvignon... I know... shocking).

Sounds like you have nice family!

Our friends and family were great with the wine gifting for our wedding. Overall I think we netted 21 bottles. 12 from DH''s uncle and aunt who are wine collectors (they have wine room built into their basement, temp controlled and everything! I told them I would be sleeping on their tasting table when we visit) and then the remaining 9 from random other generous people. So far we have only drank 3 of them though. DH "tricked" me into opening a 1998 cabernet sauvignon from Napa from his aunt and uncle. Sneaky bastard.

Boo husband!

We ended up with 4 bottles, 2 California sparkling and 2 prosecco.

Oh it was! He tricked me by telling me he had grabbed a bottle of the "Beringer" which I thought was our cheapie $8 cab from Trader Joes that we often bring with us to BYOBs in the city. Little did I know he meant the 11 year old Berineger private estate stuff or something like that. He handed it to the waitress and she popped the cork and poured me some before I even realized what was going on. After she put it down on the table in front of me my jaw just hit the floor. It was due to be consumed (according to WS online... we aren''t great with knowing that stuff) and he knew that I wouldn''t willingly open it without a special occassion. I had just found out that my first journal paper was going to be published so it was a good week. Thing is, we had already opened a 100% Barbera from a local winery (I live near Philly) that I was in love with the first time we tasted it. To me, that was our celebration bottle! Oh well. I was a lucky girl that week.

It''s from one of the wineries that we went to for our venue search last weekend. Milbrandt Estates...

Thanks for the information! Boo they won''t ship to my state. Perhaps my local wine place carries it though. They do have a few thousand bottles in that store so theres a chance!

Sneaky indeed! Wow that''s quite a collection you have. We''re lucky if we keep 6 cheapo bottles around.

as a tip from a customer ($100+ bottle, hayyyy!) that we''re definitely saving and a CSM Ethos merlot from my parents. Yummy!

A stone from my WB fell out this weekend. It looks like a gap tooth just staring at me. Gross.
