The Makings of Mark Morrell

My BF & I recently purchased our diamond from Yekutiel ("Yuki" as many affectionately call him ) at IDJ.

The stone is now on it's way to.......MARK MORRELL!! The setting will be a modified version of the Extreme Petite Torchiere.

This evening, we received our first pics from Mark showing the general configuration. I'm sure that this isn't all that exciting for most, but I, for one, am THRILLED BEYOND WORDS!!!! I just had to share with someone!!

Hee hee! I'm pretty sure that a 3 ct. diamond in a GORGEOUS solitaire setting would be VERY exciting for most! It looks amazing. I will be following your journey...can't wait to see the result!

Valmanin, I've been keeping up with your search for the perfect OEC and setting as well. HURRY, HURRY, HURRY! June will be here before you know it!!

Bright & Enerchi, I adore both of your OECs. I contemplated getting one myself. The character the stones exude...to die for.....

Also, Enerchi, I'm actually getting Mark's signature heart prongs. I considered the claw prongs initially, but then I read what others said about how "dainty" they truly are IRL. Plus, my BF & I liked the idea of having the uniqueness of the heart prongs...another bragging point ya' know.

I'll actually be getting the heart prongs. I figure that I'll cross paths with many (non-PS) ladies that will have round center stones; those that will have 3+ carat center stones; those that will have platinum solitaire settings....but chances are, I won't cross paths with many (non-PS) ladies that will have the delicate heart prongs from MWM.
Of course My BF & I just HAD to take FULL advantage of that extra bragging point.....

Beautiful setting! I almost picked something very similar for a 3 stone I recently did, but then backed out because I wasn't sure how well it would translate over.

Your LM setting is gorg; sleek and really highlights that big, bold and beautiful asscher. I drooled over a setting on his website for quite some time. My fav color is pink, so I contemplated getting a pink micropave halo. My concern was how soon I'd get tired of the "pink" though. But hey, there will be anniversaries and birthdays and all sorts of other events that will definitely warrant a visit back to LM's page.....
