So for anyone who has been following my posts, you know that I have been ALLLLL over the place with my ring journey. From an MRB recut to a transitional set in a halo, to an amazing OMC split shank solitaire that I returned due to a bit too much warmth, to almost pulling the trigger on a 5 carat ACA, to more recently dipping my toe into the lab grown pond....clearly I love all diamonds, and it's been beyond hard to make a decision re: what should be THE ONE.
That said...today I encountered another amazing antique cushion circa 1900 that is even better than my last one! She's 5.90 carats, white facing K color with strong blue fluoro (which I loooove and has no negative effects on this particular diamond). It appears to be an amazing stone - the fire she was shooting off was BEYOND...it required no effort whatsoever to trigger it. She also faces up bigger than my 6.21 did at 12.07mmx11.59mm....which, let's be honest...may be too big for my small finger, but I'll table that concern for now.
Including some videos and photos below. I'd love any thoughts, red flag callouts, etc. before I pull the trigger. I'd likely do a similar setting to my old OMC, but this time with a yellow gold shank and platinum head/prongs.
Thank you!!
